I know that’s true. It’s the friend of a close friend, and I’m just meeting him for the first time as they stay with us this weekend. Even my pal noticed that something was strange about him, how he hardly spoke for three hours and just sort of examined things and put them back down. I’m hoping that things will be okay, and that he’s just tired and nervous about a date, and that nothing’s really too wrong.

If you knew one of your loved ones/best friends had only one day left to live, how would you spend that last day with them?

Doing whatever makes them happy. Whether that be adventuring out somewhere, watching movies on the couch, or heading out to a fancy dinner. Anything that makes them their absolute happiest. To be able to see that joy on their face would make my heart break in anticipation but they deserve nothing less on the eve of their death.
