Abel and Cole
At the beginning of my time here in Bournemouth, I subscribed to Abel and Cole Veg Boxes. I think it's a really great concept - I used to get the small veg box every fortnight and it would really last me that long. Alongside the boxes you are given little booklets full of recipes incase you need more inspiration. Sam and I used to both get them when we lived in Newport together and I wanted to continue it as I love eating fresh vegetables!

Supermarket alternatives...
Here are some of my favourite alternatives to supermarkets:
Able & Cole - Organic food delivery, all locally sourced, in season and no air-freighting for any items which can't be sourced locally. All over the UK. www.ableandcole.co.uk
Personally I get a small fruit and veg box delivered to my house ever 2 weeks for £11.50. You can swap items you don't like or choose to include items you do like more frequently. The delivery is only 99p and you can add other products depending what you want and set up regular orders for items such as eggs, milk etc with weekly/bi-weekly/tri-weekly or monthly deliveries. Plus it's so easy to use.
Planet Organic - Organic food, health & beauty. UK for non-fresh items, London for fresh items. www.planetorganic.com
Planet Organic does a wider range of products and offers free delivery for orders over £30. However fresh is only available if you live in London.
I also do a lot of shopping at local health food stores, these are great for healthy snacks and organic products along with fair trade products.
