so my mum was moaning that my dad put peas in the dinner and he went "they've mingled with the rest of the dinner so it doesn't matter" so I, thinking that I was absolutely hilarious, said "well they're very sociable vegetables" and my mum just looked at me with pain in her eyes. I don't think she found my joke very funny at all.
I was bitching about this guy the other day with my friend, before he walked up to us.

her: SO! MY MUM WAS LIKE WHY ARE THERE VEGETABLES
me: yeah! and she wouldn't lettuce in!
