okay so it would be absolutely egotistical of me to link my own stuff here (and honestly the ONE fic i would link isnt done, go me LOL) BUT!!! i do have some older fics but i do have some newer ones as well so! i pretty much just went through the four whole pages of davris content on ao3 and picked out my faves these are ordered from most to least recent!

losing my religion (and finding it again at my sister's bachelorette party) by jesimiel - THIS fic is by my best good friend mike (@davestriderpostscratch) and their character voices are *chefs kiss* SO good--the dynamic. its so f*cking good. i laughed no less than ten times while reading this 400 Lux by bellclips - this one is on the top of my "longing and pining and yearning" list for SURE; one of my favorite things about davris in general is that theres SO much room for that sort of like. quiet chemistry? if that makes sense? this fic is very f*cking good on delivering on that front Shared Secrets by ThatPeskyBoat - this was another gift fic for me!! (are we sensing a theme here LOL) obviously i like it because i f*cking force davris dynamics down my friends throats so it IS catered to me but!! i am really really fond of settings with these two that like... on the meteor with a sort of secretive relationship, usually because dave and vriska respectively reserve vulnerability for each other and each other only--uggggh LOVE that shit (s)wordplay by Snowsheba - OKAY THIS IS MY FAVORITE DAVRIS FIC EVERRR THIS WAS LIKE. the FIRST longform davris fic i ever read and it fundamentally changed me as a f*cking person i SWEAR. i live breathe and die for anything to do with dave and vriska swordfighting and connecting through physical Action start as you mean to continue by grassthatchedHut - THIS badboy is for if you wanna feel a little sad--this one i like because its mostly dialogue and like... conveys part of what i like about their dynamic in that they needle each other to get closer and it ends up, ultimately, being a display of affection--the rituals are so VERY intricate

anyway this is my masterpost! i may or may not add my own fic if and when it gets finished but. well see about that LEL

#vel drawls #literally i dont understand how some people dont even tag fandoms #or post types #how the FUCK do you find anything on your own blogs #anyway. i do actually like feedback on my art believe it or not #obv it wouldnt make sense to comment on whats on my blog now since its all pretty old but like #if i post something new.....#just slap a couple nice tags on a reblog #send in a nice ask #i promise its not that hard and gets easier the more often you do it #bc all artists you reblog from deserve to hear something nice every once in a while #everything is so one and done with the way social medias been evolving #mindlessly reposting or liking shit without really engaging #you dont have to do it with every single post you reblog but #just because thats the way social media is changing doesnt mean you have to be a part of the problem #i feel like this sounds really preachy but. i try to add nice tags on most of the art i reblog #especially if its fandom related stuff #and it has genuinely changed the way i consume and interact with art emotionally #i find that i enjoy it a lot more and like to really savor a piece i like #and as an artist i take a little more time to look at what i like in other peoples art to sort of #gauge where im at in my art journey #where id like to be #and how it is i can start to move in that direction #idk man just practice mindfulness i guess #shits good for your brain

feeling very “im pretty sure the sudden surge in chocolate coin trickster vriska is directly bc of a sprite edit someone did of my 2 year old design 6 months ago and then someone (at least one person, ik there were some anons about it too) went around requesting chocolate coin vriska and almost all of the subsequent sprites look Pretty Derivative” today
