We all know the classic tale of two potential lovers commutating through post/email/or text before getting together. They always drive us crazy because all we want is for our cute couple to meet in person, and @velvethopewrites sends us down the rabbit hole with Moving The Goalposts
It’s more than just looks or lust driving our sweethearts. Though it started with quite a kiss between two “strangers” that becomes so much more over correspondence. They learn about each others deep resentments and insecurities. That isn’t to say Harry and “Red” don’t have some fun and get a bit naughty. Some rather simulated phone calls happen between these two that helps make this fic NSFW. Getting to see Harry learn more and more about Red before knowing her true identity completely captivating and it only gets more so when her identity is revealed.
I’ve personally read this fic a few times and every time I adore it more and more. We get to see sides of out characters not always explored and for me that makes this fic even better.
@velvethopewrites knocks the classic trope out of the park with Moving The Goalposts, and the In-Progress sequel Possession is one I follow with bated breath. I can’t recommend it enough!
