A verse in unison  with venacorona where a centuries old vampire has taken it upon himself to adopt both of the homeless girls. As a very thoughtful and nurturing parent, it’s a wonderful reprieve from what the both of them have come to know.

While Yui has her suspicions that their guardian isn’t quite human;  Kirie easily buys into whatever excuses she’s given for the most part. Despite Yui’s tendency to get easily frustrated , however, she finds her older sister’s gentle nature to more than make up for her obliviousness.

🌹 what is their idea of a perfect date?

something really lowkey, not fancy, no frills, no bullshit. may be a rich guy, but there’s a special quality to the mundane and borderline domestic. here's a short little list of dates that really grates the cheese on his pasta...!

- going to a local restaurant and just trying sooo many things! he really likes going to cuban, indian, thai, chinese, and ethiopean spots. take him a lil mom and pop joint with a chill atmosphere, a good drink selection, and that’ll make him really happy.

- going out to gaze at the stars. that’s a given lol. going out to look up at whatever’s up in space. that’s home! let him spit on space facts on you and what it’s like on the moon with his grandma.

- just parking a car somewhere and talking. get in the whip, take it to some convenience store parking lot, buy a cheap sushi tray to share, put on some early 2000s music, and just talk. talk about whatever. wherever the conversation goes.

- doing something fun like taking a class. pottery classes... dance classes... flower arranging... you know, just learning with someone else. he loves shit like that.

- botanical gardens! art galleries showcasing international hidden talents! street fairs! maybe even just grocery shopping! doing weird shit like going to the park and attempting bird calls and just looking kinda questionable to everyone else?????

- and last but not least, just... wearing some sweatpants and a hoodie, staying home/at his loves place, and making a pizza. making whatever food is desired. posted up on the couch, city pop or jazz music playing. maybe some video games or a really shitty movie he can rip on. ANIME. even just sitting together in silence, reading. he loves that shit!!!

with that said, he doesn’t mind the occasional fancy date. but he doesn’t want luxury to be a central theme.

She was momentarily speechless, though as soon as that moment passed, she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him in so she could return the kiss.

There’s More of Us

Russo’s trail had led him to Scotland, to a rather beautiful, rather old apple orchard situated just outside of a small town. He wasn’t very familiar with so many trees around him-- particularly so many trees bearing fruit. He was more used to cities nowadays.

He’d been getting hints every which way-- from Roxy, from Cassius, from the voice of his Sire even. And now the Invictus had put him on the path. A vampire-- and an old one-- and yet still untouched, still unwelcome in the city, and sitting on untapped power. A valuable asset.

Russo found himself wandering the orchard, tracking down the very familiar scent of a predator’s taint, hidden among the trees in the dark of the night. His hand was on the pommel of his sword,but he wasn’t there for a fight unless it found him first.
