The Turaga of Metru Nui! I meant to post these way back when I finished my Mangai, but forgot. Oh well, better late than never. Featured in the post are Turaga Dume, Turaga Ventax, and Turaga Lhikan, as he would appear in present day on the Red Star. Here's my interpretation of Turaga Ventax in the style of G2, wearing a custom mask from @redstarforge "On the mythical island of Okoto there lives an old story teller named Ventax, one of the few left on the island who are old enough to still remember the Toa first hand. Ventax chooses to spend the twilight of his life passing on stories of the six great heroes who saved their island in his childhood to the next generation, hoping his own grandchildren will continue to carry this torch forward..." I don't have any plans to turn this version of the character into a real story of its own, I mostly just wanted to build him to make use of the mask I painted a bit back. If there's any interest I might do something with it though, but G2's world isn't something that interests me much personally. I'm pleased to announce that work has been underway on Volume 2 of Tales from Turaga Ventax for a few months now. This teaser image shows some of the cover art from three of the short stories in Volume 2, with there being six stories in the volume in total, an improvement over Volume 1's five stories. Featured in this post are six custom painted Kanohi masks, each one serves as an easter egg for one of the six short stories in Volume 2, being based on the colors of a single character who appears in each story. I hope you'll stay tuned and try to figure out which characters each mask is based on. Furthermore, all six of these masks are going to appear in the photos for the sixth and final story of the volume, which ties in to why they're all immoral Kanohi.
