"Venti are you coming?" Lumine asked as she stood by the tavern door. The traveler had been helping Monstadt and had managed to gain the attention of my boyfriend, Venti. " Yes, I am" Venti said in a happy tone as he hopped off the stool of the tavern. He pecked my cheek before heading out. "Don't you think those two are getting a bit close?" Rosaria, my best friend asked me in a low tone as she watched the two head out together. "He says he's just helping her out" I say as I take a sip of my orange juice. To be honest I've been thinking like that as well. He's never accompanied me on an adventure or even asked me to join him on one. Yet here is is getting cozy with Lumine, a traveler that he barely knows and accompanying her everywhere for whatever reason. Could he be in love with her? After he wrote a song confessing his love for you? After he smiled at you constantly and told you he will stand by you? Did all that go to waste? Was it her smile? Her power? Her vision? But destiny brought you two together, didn't it?
"Hey don't think about it. Wanna clear out hilichurl camps? I mean it's kind of late but you need to take your mind off it" Rosaria suggested as she got off her stool and I did the same. We made our way out of monstadt and to the whispering woods. We went from hilichurl camp to hilichurl camp clearing them out. My mind was focused entirely on fighting and for a second I forgot what was bothering me. That was until we ran into an abyss image, a cryo one to be exact. It didn't exactly help that there were mitachurls and samachurls but we took out enemies one my one using my hydro vision and Rosaria's Cryo one. We evaded the abyss mage and it's attacks till it was the last one left.
But something caught my eye, something green, the cause of my grief, Venti.Walking beside him was none other than the blonde, Lumine. It was just the two of them, alone. "Why was Lumine alone with Venti ,doing nothing in the woods?" That was all I could think about, I was distracted. "Y/n, look out!" Rosaria shouted to me before I felt a sharp pain in my side. I looked down to see and long ice shard in my stomach as my crimson red blood stained my white shirt. I felt lightheaded as the abyss mage made happy noises in the background as Rosaria attacked it. I fell to the ground , tears clouded my vision as I continued to look at them, my boyfriend and the traveler in the distance talking together happily as I fought for my life. Maybe this was what destiny wanted? Maybe destiny wanted him to have Lumine.
