[Image Description] A verangender flag design, created by me, consisting of a black and white field split along the diagonal, with the upper left being black and the lower right being white. On the boundary of this field, there is a large grey X with four fractured triangle points in the whitespace of the letter.
A second copy of the flag, with a grey checkered border around it, delineating the white field from the white post background. [End Description]
verangender: a gender that seems to shift/change the moment it’s identified; i.e., you see a new gender label that seems to fit you, so you adopt the label, but soon after that it is uncomfortable and no longer fits your gender experience no matter how well it might have fit before; you might have a very stable, constant gender experience up until it’s identified; note: verangender can be used by itself or while continuing to label the genders you experience.
I was going to go into my color choices and symbolism and shit here, but honestly I’ve been fighting with this design for three days now, and I am Tired(tm).
So just as quick as I can make it, without all the fancy discussion I was actually going to do:
X for the unknown variable, triangle points as a veiled reference to shin (the unknown variable in pre-europeanized maths) as well as denoting the fractured nature of this identity, diagonal field to imply movement, black for the unknown of future identity, white for the erasure of past identity.
Black (N): 000 White (W): FFF Grey (G): 999
