Me, just trying to look for ant (the insect) stuff on tumblr:
The dreamsmp community, having long since flooded the tag:
I'm not mad at anyone, y'all be interested in and post about what you're interested in, I just keep forgetting character names and found it kinda funny how the first thing I saw when I was looking up my lil bug friends was a rantpost about eggpire apologists.
Day ??? of being tired of anti-mogai people and their bullshit.
I'm almost 18. I identify with a lot of mogai terms.
Like deadass, I was questioning my asexuality for an entire month. I thought I was faking these very personal feelings that I have been dealing with for years and years because I didn't fit into the narrow definition of "doesn't experience sexual attraction (at all)", and suddenly I find a mogai term for it and everything makes sense.
(said term being reciprosexual, it's under the asexual umbrella so I will continue to id as ace)
You don't have to use microlabels if you don't want to, but respect the people that do, because those microlabels may be important to them and to how they understand themselves. Especially if said people are neurodivergent.
(post can end here or you can continue to read my rambling below the cut)
Also, let's not forget that a lot of mogai terms have since entered the mainstream and become more acknowledged. Mogai is lgbtq+ and it's important to some.
This post is getting rambly but I'm gonna continue anyway because I have a lot on my mind rn.
I definitely wouldn't look into mogai as the first thing on your list and I'm not for assigning mogai identities to people without their consent/input.
Like the overarching lgbtq+ community identities (gay, lesbian, bi, trans, nonbinary, asexual, aromantic) are definitely a good jumping-off point if you want to dive deeper and figure yourself out on the level that microlabels and mogai terms require.
And the thing is you don't have to jump off! You can stay at that surface level if that makes you more comfortable, and I know that I certainly use a lot of the more surface-level terms among people that aren't well-acquainted with mogai identities.
Another great thing is that some identities are closed off. Autigender for example is exclusive to autistic people due to the meaning of it - autigender is not "autism as a gender" as a lot of anti-mogai people like to claim, autigender is the statement/idea that your autism directly impacts the way you view your gender and gender identity.
Being mogai is beautiful. Having neopronouns is beautiful. Microlabels are beautiful.
But also keep in mind that it's okay to not want to put microlabels on yourself.
Man, this turned from a rant/vent post to a mogai positivity post, what happened?
