in canon, we don't actually know! there are a few times when people accuse him of nepotism (all in the comics actually; the times in the show are more implied) but tbh helia doesn't really react? so we don't know how he feels about it! we also don't know if he gets insecure from being saladin's relative? helia doesn't interact a lot with saladin and when they do it's usually very supportive! although, we do have evidence that he feels guilty when he isn't as good as expected or does the opposite of what people would expect from saladin's family. so while we don't know if he ever feels insecure, we do know that he does feel pressure from saladin's status and internalizes a lot of it.
