Working overtime = Slurpee and pretzels for dinner. Oh yeeeah.
Did much adulting today. Got the car smog checked so the DMV knows that my little car, at least, is not polluting California's air.
Bought a new DVD player because the old one tried to eat a DVD the other night and this is not acceptable behaviour for an electronic device. DVD players have....changed.... since I got my old one. It's about half the size and plays both Blu ray and DVDs. I had all sixteen or so cables snaking out from the TV ready to do battle, but literally all I had to do was plug it in and plug the HDMI cable into the TV. Boom. Done. I sat there for about 5 minutes watching part of a DVD, sure that I'd missed a step or done something wrong.
Also got a water filter because environment! And because the plastic bottles were piling up and becoming a nuisance. It came with a little meter to test the purity of the water. It said that for normal tap water, the number should read about 140. I guess that's dissolved solids or something. Well, our tap water read 350. Ew. I shouldn't be surprised. My bathtub faucet is starting to resemble the White Cliffs of Dover with all the calcium deposits building up. I could do a geology thesis on the stalactites forming on the pipes in the parking garage. So yay water filter!
potato chip sandwich and orange juice for dinner.
adult.
my dad put the parental control settings on my netflix profile to 'older kids'
I AM AN ADULT DANG IT

Me: I need to go to the store to get food and medicine so I can get better and not starve.
Me: Mehhhh... *scrolls on tumblr for two more hours*
Me: OH I WANT TO COLOR! But I have no coloring books... I should go to the store
Me: *immediately gets up and puts pants on*
Today I have skyped with my teacher, made plans with my dad, called the cat pound and written a to-do list. Later I'll go to the cinema with my sister and watch the new Justin Bieber-film. Yes.
