I went to the Hamburg N2 concert on wednesday and it was so much better than I hoped it would be! <3
Like Taylor I’m a little sucker for number games, if you want to call it that. I had hoped for tickets for Gelsenkirchen, because that would have been close to home for me, but I only got waitlisted for Gelsenkirchen. With my codes for Hamburg and München, I decided, I should try to get a ticket for Hamburg N2 because that date in German is 24.7.24. Bliss for me.
Later on, I learnt this was concert 121.
Since we’re all a little delulu here … is it possible that show 121 on 24.7.24 is a watershed? The middle of a mirror image?
This has been discussed before, I tried to scroll back … Taylor is doing something with the outfits. She is also doing something with the surprise songs, right?
Not sure how to pinpoint this, I’ll write what I observed:
First thing which she absolutely could not have planned (or she is super amazing) is the weather. Hamburg N1 was a rain show, Hamburg N2 no rain, München N1 rain again … she didn’t plan this, but it is cute. Maybe karma or kismet. (Sniffels for me with the not-rain-show.)
Leading up to Hamburg we thought or hoped Travis would be out of the picture forever. And the surprise songs got more … emotional? Hamburg N1 was pretty much a breakup song fest. Hamburg N2 is still emotionally destroying me! Last Great American Dynasty mashed up with Run.
She started the accoustic section by talking about Folklore’s 4th birthday and then she started playing LGAD on guitar until the first “She had a marvelous time ruining everything”.
She then walked around with the guitar and came back to the mic singing
“Give me the keys, I’ll bring the car back around
We shouldn’t be in this town
And my so-called friends, they don’t know

Is that just me or is this amazing and very Karlie coded?! Rebecca who stopped giving a damn about what people said about her, Taylor now living in her house, mixed with run, which is KAYLOR Thelma and Louise (a little bit). What an image! Taylor running with her Kar to her house in Rhodes Island, not caring anymore!

Again the theme of running away … Hamburg N1 had the breakup and heart ache songs. Hamburg N2 is running away from it all, stop caring about what people say, WITH the love of her life.
The overall theme is a goodbye to her youthful years and probably her fame as it was. A different kind of heartbreak, paired with a run for freedom from cruel eyes.
Now the outfits …
She came out wearing the orange lover body suit and played the pink guitar - lesbian pride yay! Then she wore the fearless tiger dress, which is a favourite of mine. I saw a tiktok where someone said the 1989 outfits for Hamburg N1 and N2 were the bisexual pride flag. Maybe? For the 22 Shirt N1 was the “ME” shirt, on N2 we got the “EW” Shirt. I kinda got the feeling, Taylor at times felt kinda ew too … to me she seemed clearly over it during so high school. At the beginning of the show one of her dancers asked her something and Taylor said “better” or something, so maybe she was a bit under the weather … it is weird the kind of things you pick up watching a live concert. And this could very well be my reading! She seemed really happy all evening … oh wait after tolerate it, she didn’t seem really relaxed too … oh I don’t know. I hope she had a brilliant time as me.
For the Everlore segment she wore the red Alberta Ferreti gown for N1 and for N2 the green version. Red and green again.
For I Can Do It With A Broken Heart she wore the golden ensemble.
All in all it gave me orange-y unhinged colour scheme vibes?
And now knowing the surprise songs from München N1 … the difference is so very stark!!
Hamburg N1 heartbreak, breakup, Hamburg N2 reflektive and let’s run … München N1 happy in love after all of it? The outfits from München gave me a different vibe too?
Something seems to be happening with the Olympics. In München she is playing in the Olympiastadion where the 1972 Olympics took place … maybe we are finally getting an announcement? A brighter future?
Isn’t fall great but with a positive spin?
Oh ja, last time she played München was 13 years ago, so ..
