vincent is absolutely the first guard that adrian goes to for any questions that he has regarding the life of a guard. it isn’t that he doesn’t respect any of the other guards, because believe me you, he does, but he knows that vincent, as one of the oldest guards on the island, probably has the most stories to tell and easily the most life experience, so he’s bound to have an interesting story or two. and that absolutely provides the break from reality that adrian often needs.
