contrary to the belief of her peers, Adder can be subtle, if she wants to be. She's still a Raunite after all and some missions require a little bit more stealth, so here's her more "covert" fit. Wanted to tie in some more of her namesake so she has some adder markings on her shirt. Snake skin leather because even if she's trying not to be seen, she won't let that stop her from being a fashionista.
"Well, here's the thing: as drow of old used tattoos to mark slaves, many drow detest tattoos. However, early Lolth priestesses used progressively-augmented tattoos (down their right inner thighs, eventually to the ankle) to mark ascending clerical rank.
Drow who don't venerate Lolth usually dislike tattoos (on drow) for that reason, in addition to the slavery. However, among Vhaeraun worshippers in the early 1300s DR, a fashion arose to tattoo around one's right eye (bare ring around the eye, then an elaborate design radiating out over brow and cheek on one side of the face only). This was regarded as beauty enhancing, not a mark of devotion to the god. In addition, certain drow sorceresses hit upon the notion of storing self-renewing spells in right forearm tattoos.
So as you can see, drow are split, just as the gamer debate is. Most drow detest tattooing, seeing it as marring drow natural beauty. However, drow who see themselves as ugly usually reason that they have nothing to lose by getting tattoos. And a drow who bears slave tattoos and gets the opportunity to do something about them will almost always expand the tattoos into a larger, more beautiful design that seeks to obscure the original slaving marks." I want to see more Lolthite girls with thigh tats and Vhaeraunites with what would be a total job stopper in our world
Due to the fact the organizer is a supplier is from a winemaker family... the initially work meeting switched into drinking, eating, playing and gambling after they went over all of the important points.
Map of Vhaeraun's Surface Temples- Canon per Ed Greenwood's Mindplace
@Ed Greenwood Hi Ed! I hope you’re doing well 🙂
We have some info on where Eilistraeeans are grouping up on the surface; where might one find vhaeraunite outposts, communities? Or temples? One of vhaeraun’s expectations of his followers is to contribute to permanent drow settlements on the surface (mentioned in faiths and pantheons and I believe other places as well) so they gotta be out there, right?
Malakuth Tabuirr is mentioned to have funded one such vhaeraunite temple; is it in skullport, or somewhere else?
Thank you in advance for any guidance! You rock.

Thus far, Vhaeraunite temples in the World Above (the surface Realms) are secret, either “upper rooms” in the large houses of sponsors, in big cities, or in cellars. There are temples in Westgate, Waterdeep, Athkatla, Zazesspur, Selgaunt, Baldur’s Gate, Suldolphor, Ankhapur, and Tashluta, that I know of, and more shrines that may become temples if local support grows. Skullport has one of these very secret small shrines, nothing more yet; Malakuth Tabuirr’s temple is the one under the easternmost Bridge District in Athkatla.

Stars are purposefully big to be hard to miss. Exact city locations zoomed in on under the cut, as well as a link to the FR wiki page and the base description for them. For my convenience, and maybe even yours. I don't know I don't control you.
This map isn't definitive. There might be more mentioned elsewhere (Such as places like Cormanthor, where Vhaeraunite's have had a known presence.) - This map specifically focuses on the one's mentioned in the answer found above.
Link to an interactive FR Map, if you want to scroll around and find these places as well.
Westgate -
Westgate was a seedy and squalid metropolis—with a history in piracy, powerful crime syndicates, and nameless vampiric crime-lords. Westgate thrived on black-market trade and corruption, and was perhaps one of the most sordid cities in all of Faerûn. The legacy of scoundrels and spies was found in every alley, and danger lurked for the unprepared in every corner. Despite this, it was the largest and most powerful city on the Dragon Coast.
It was an open city that welcomed all travelers and citizens alike as long as they abided by the local laws and, of course, had enough coin.
It was probably the oldest, richest and most corrupt port on the Sea of Fallen Stars. It received the nickname "Gateway to the West" from its role as the Inner Sea's most prolific port city.
Waterdeep -
Waterdeep, also known as the City of Splendors or the Crown of the North, was the most important and influential city in the North and perhaps in all Faerûn. It was a truly marvelous cosmopolitan city of great culture that attracted the most talented artisans, artists, and scholars from across the Realms, as well as a commercial hub for financial interests along the coast and beyond.
It was one of if not the most powerful and influential member-states of the Lords' Alliance, the coalition of nations and city-states that sought to maintain order along the Sword Coast and the North.
Athkatla -
Athkatla, also known as the City of Coin, was the oldest settlement and capital of the mercantile nation of Amn. It was one of the wealthiest countries in all of Faerûn, where nearly every aspect of life revolved around money and commerce.
Zazesspur -
The ancient port city of Zazesspur was the former capital of Tethyr. It was a city of legendary wealth and full of intrigue.
Selgaunt -
Selgaunt (pronounced: /ˈsɛlgɒnt/ SELL-gont), formerly known as Chancelgaunt, was a large merchant port on the Sea of Fallen Stars and the capital of the nation of Sembia following the destruction of Ordulin in the late 14th century DR.
“ Selgaunt. A quarter the size of Waterdeep, but still embroiled in nastiness. Fakery. Mendacity. Rich fat prima donnas attacking rich fat prima donnas. All that I could’ve stood - I was used to it - but caught in the center of this fight was something fine, something noble and beautiful. ”

Baldur’s Gate -
Baldur's Gate, called the City of Blood and simply the Gate, was one of the largest metropolises and city-states on the Sword Coast, within the greater Western Heartlands. It was a crowded city of commerce and opportunity, and one of the most prosperous and influential merchant cities on the western coast of Faerûn. Despite its long-standing presence as a neutral power, the leaders of Baldur's Gate were members of the Lords' Alliance of powers in the west. It was described as being the "halfway to everywhere".
The strong peace-keeping force known as the Watch, along with the presence of the powerful Flaming Fists mercenary company, kept the city generally peaceful and safe. This inherent sense of security allowed the Gate to keep a tolerant and welcoming attitude towards outsiders, whether they were wealthy merchants, poor refugees or, as it historically attracted, less-scrupulous individuals such as pirates and smugglers.
“Baldur's Gate is a viper's nest of schemes and schemers.”
— Coran
Suldolphor -
Suldolphor, which was also called Suldolphor the Golden or simply the Golden City, was a metropolis found in far eastern Calimshan.
Ankhapur -
Ankhapur was a city located in the Lake of Steam region on the southern edge of interior Faerûn. The city was primarily known for its pearl industry, which involved many of its citizens.
Tashluta -
Tashluta, also known as the City of Slithering Vines, was the capital city of Tashalar, an oligarchical nation on the Chultan Peninsula. Known as one of the Cities of the Seabreeze, Tashluta was fairly unique in that it was constructed within and atop a volcanic crater that opened up into the Shining Sea.
Noctuus's guy Rizzyn for Artfight. Love a Vhaeraunite cleric. God voted "Dark Seldarine deity most likely to get up in his clerics' business out of boredom" which is saying something when Eilistraee and Lolth are both in the running
Was reminded about the concept of “actually posting my own stuff on tumblr” so here you go
Top half is my guy (sorta) Iimyl and @dastabby ‘s Ravion doing Eilistraeean bonding things (playing dress up and putting on makeup). Bottom two are my Vhaeraunite Mal and @the-timid-birb ‘s Miya being very normal cousins, with Iimyl having a crisis above them
Do you think house jaelre has more male or female members or are they even
I think in the time they were most active in the Dalelands (3e-3.5e) they had more men, especially because I think they had more men coming into their ranks, however I think that they (and the Auzkovyn clan) have more women on the whole than a Vhaeraunite group like Dark Dagger by nature of being a settlement group. By nature of being a settlement group, I think they've had a lot of woman just born into their house (maybe even when they were wandering the underdark, god forbid.)
I think as a result a lot of the woman they have are on the younger end of things. I think they had SOME older women leave Menzobarranzan with them, evident by Belarbreeza- one of their house leaders, being a level 14 wizard. In older editions, 14 was narrative analogical to being "Top of your respective class" and I though we don't get a lot of information on her, you can take away that her and Nurkinyan (14 cleric) might have been the two older leaders
I think when Vhaeraun died, their numbers were severely cut on the whole but as a result they (coming into the modern era) have come to have more of an even balance of men and woman. We canonically have evidence that there were House Jaelre members who (upon Vhaeraun's death) turned away from the group and went back to Lolth or into Jaezred Chaulssin (who, by that point had as a group dropped Vhaeraun as a patron).
Most of the examples we have of people who had left are, interestingly, men; I think the ones that were inclined to have left House Jaelre were the ones both not born into the family and people who came in specifically looking for power to begin with (which, mind you. Their house's societal structure never really supported)
Tl;dr: I think they used to have more men. I think many of the men left when Vhaeraun died. I think what remains of House Jaelre is far less in number, but more even in gender ratio.
Finally getting something down for one of my drow OCs. This one is Sabrae. I wanna put her in pretty clothes but she also likes to wear simple clothes while traveling. (Prestidigitation does wonders for keeping clothes clean.)
I'm still working on background stuff, but she is a Divine Soul Sorcerer and her favorite combat spell is/will be Prismatic Spray. She loves weaving and embroidery as her main hobby, and her studies are mostly anything medical-related. She spent most of the 4e era traveling around learning and practicing medicine and totally not having a crisis of faith. She stands at 6ft and hates being asked if she's actually a full blooded drow or not because of her height.
A practicing Vhaeraunite. Most of her duties involve healing and resupplying drow that come her way. Someone has to make the healing potions for all those rogues, after all.
