“Fuck, baby girl. We need a taste real quick, please.” Taehyung rasped against your mouth as you felt Hoseok’s growing erection grind into your ass, his own mouth attached to your neck. Two of your partners had trapped you in an elevator while you were on your way up to your own room to settle in before your show tonight, but apparently they had other plans.
Heat pooling between your legs, you nodded your head. There was no doubt you would’ve ended up in their room at some point later on in the day, just not a few hours from cast off, but that didn’t matter to you anymore. All that mattered were the two beautiful men that you were sandwiched in between.
The elevator ceased moving, it’s doors opening with a ding. The next thing you know you’re being dragged down the hallway towards the captain’s quarters, with Taehyung in the lead and Hoseok right next to you, a hand over your ass. You quickly skirted past other crew members, eyeing you curiously as to what you guys are doing rushing towards the rooms, but no one stopped you.
Once at the door, Taehyung released your hand, fishing around in his pocket for the key. Meanwhile, Hoseok took the opportunity to push you against the wall, his mouth meeting yours. The kiss was sloppy, consisting of mainly tongue and teeth, but it still left you squirming in his hold. You could hear your other partner struggling to unlock the door, mumbling something along the lines of you distracting him. Either way, the door clicked open and you were rushed inside.
Collapsing onto the nearest bed, you watched as your two partners looked down on you with dark eyes, ready to devour you. Not wanting to wait any further, they pulled at their uniforms, ready to be rid of them. Biting your lip, you leaned back, enjoying their little strip show.
“You’re still dressed, baby girl?” Hoseok asked as he got on the bed, hovering over you.
“I like it when you take it off for me,” your hand traveled up his torso, nails slightly dragging across the expanse of his skin. “Makes me feel good.”
“Fuck, let me strip her, Hobi.” Taehyung muttered as he climbed next to the both of you, about ready to tear your clothes off. He barely managed to pull your top half way off when the door clicked open, and a singular set of footsteps walked in.
Freezing, all three of your glanced to the front of the room. Standing at the foot of the bed was Namjoon, fully dressed in his captain’s uniform, leering down at the mess of bodies in front of him. “What are you doing?” He was clearly unhappy with what he saw, his voice void of any emotion. But the sternness of his voice had arousal seeping out, soiling your panties.
“Just needed a taste, please. Need baby girl, please.” Taehyung melted under Namjoon’s hard gaze, knowing better to beg than demand.
Namjoon’s eyes shifted to Hoseok, who was still halfway on top of you. “Please, get back to work soon, need to fuck her please.” He in turn groveled to the captain.
“You want this too, baby girl?” Namjoon asked, his eyes locking with yours. He knew that the boys would just throw themselves on you at any given moment, and you in turn would go along with it.
“Yes please, I want it.”
Wetting his lips, he glanced down to his watch before looking back at you all. “You’re going to have to be quick about it, if we want to cast off in time.” He said, sauntering off to the side of the room. Grabbing the back of a chair, he pulled it back, placing it right in front of the bed. The three of you watched in silence as he seated himself down. “Well? What are you waiting for?”

Yoongi diverted his attention from your face to the way Hoseok held you, sighing with a shake of his head before moving to crouch in front of you.
His hands weren’t shaking anymore, but anger still tinted his features - you felt it radiating from him, as another growing wave came from your side, and they saw you wrap your tail around you once more.
You had to swallow the half blue half yellow pill your friend gave you, as he whispered softly it would help with the pain; he patted your knee lightly and watched Hoseok from the corner of his eyes, “can you get out?”
Yoongi asked harshly and you frowned at him, his unusual behavior startling you.
“What?” Hoseok scoffed, “are you serious, Yoongi?”
“I’m going to take off your sweater and lift your blouse, sweet,” he announced while looking at you, ignoring the red-haired man, tone way different from the one he aimed at Hoseok, who tensed next to you.
Almost unconsciously, you caressed the back of Hoseok’s hand, and Yoongi followed the movement with his head tilted to the side.
He’s not mad at you, that you can tell. Still you don’t see why he’d be mad at Hoseok - who’s also his friend. And it looked exactly like this, that he was mad with Hobi.
You don’t see why though, but that’s all because you were too preoccupied with the previous topic to notice - the silent interaction they had when Yoongi entered the room.
The way Hoseok eyed Yoongi up and down.
You didn’t notice how he protectively pulled you closer, nor how the engineers inside his head worked to tell him to realize that this is not the first time Yoongi deals with that. Or worse.
But the elder did, and he wouldn’t let Hoseok judge him like this - not when he knows he should have done something, even if he promised you he wouldn’t.
“I’ll apply ointment at your bruises. You don’t want him here, do ya?” he insisted.
You stick your tongue out to wet your dry lips, wincing when it stings, ”I do, actually.”
He gave you an inquisitive gaze, and you shrink back before replying with your voice low, “I guess it’s not right to let him go without explanation.”
Yoongi nodded, still unsure, but sat cross legged in front of you anyway - his hand traveled inside the bag he had with him and slender fingers grasped the cream. His head shot up when your voice filled the space again, “also, I don’t want him thinking bad of you,”
Hoseok felt uncomfortable seeing Yoongi smiling so sweetly at you.
He bit his bottom lip and cursed himself inside his head for thinking bad of him; someone who looks at you like this would never touch you in a way to leave marks behind - not this kind, at least. Yoongi had nothing more than his love to offer you, and he was not a liar.
It was a little ridiculous of him, actually, to even think like that and make this kind of assumption - that he would hurt you.
He blamed his side that was too scared and angry to think straight - still, he felt guilty, gaze softening while watching Yoongi take so good care of you, nodding his own head while the other praised you, squeezing your hand back when you whimpered while Yoongi massaged your bruises.
And you are doing so well, he tried a whisper. I’m almost done, Yoongi promised.
They thanked you for trusting them, and letting them do this.
Your tail was not wrapped around your waist anymore but resting lazily on your lap and your breathing no longer hitched. You felt your eyes and body heavy, and you almost purred when Yoongi adjusted your blouse and helped you with your sweater when he was done, kissing your knee over the fabric of your jeans.
He got up and eyed you carefully before breaking the peaceful bubble you momentarily got into. “Y/N, I know you don’t want that, but we should take you to the doctor,” he raised his hand with his palm facing you when you opened your mouth to protest, “we have to see how serious it is, what if it’s broken?”
“I don’t think it is,” you shrugged quietly.
And you didn’t. Not that you’d ever let them know, but you know the feeling of broken bones, and this is not the case.
“Well, that’s not enough,” he sighed, “we have to be sure.”
“I can’t go and you know that, Yoongi,” your right ear twitched in annoyance.
“God, Y/N, remember me why I made that promise again,” he asked frustrated, crossing his arms in front of his chest. But he didn’t dare to look into your eyes. He couldn’t - because he knew exactly why he made that promise, and though he knew you had your reasons, he regretted it. Every single day now, every time he looks at you from across the room he regrets it.
You pushed yourself away from Hoseok to get up, and he held your waist gently to help you. You switched your gaze from him to Yoongi just to make sure they were paying attention before you went on.
“If I go to the doctor he will know right away why I’m like this and they will call him,” you started, “I don’t care that if he finds out you know something he will hurt me, but you know how much influence he has?”
Yoongi lowered his head in shame and you shook yours fondly. “A lot, Yoong. You know, right?” he nodded, “and that means he can not only hurt me, but you, Hobi and NamJoon.”
This time he was the one to search for your eyes, frowning when he found your lips quivering, the sound of your voice broken. “I’m just as sorry as you are because of this, but I won’t let that happen. I can’t let him hurt you.”
Yoongi stepped closer and you reached your hand to hold his, “Y/N, please,”
“I know this is wrong,” you interrupted, “I know how much you want to help and I will never be able to thank you enough just for wanting to do so, but I won’t let you because if he hurts any of you I will never be able to forgive myself.”
He used the sleeves of his flannels to clean your face and then pulled you to engulf your body in an embrace. You melted into his arms tiredly, while he held you as careful as Hoseok did earlier, the latter watching the scene in front of him with his heart and mind in conflict.
You then pushed Yoongi, looking up at him with your tail brushing against his leg in some kind of reassuring gesture, “that’s why you made that promise,” you ended softly, turning around to watch Hoseok with pleading eyes. “And now you too, Hobi, please.”
He wanted to say something.
He wanted to ask you to stay and to convince you otherwise. He didn’t have the time, though, because you turned around to leave, saying you were going to be fine, that they shouldn’t be worrying about that.
When the door clicked and he turned to look at Yoongi, a plan started to take form.
You wanted him to, but he didn’t promise you anything, did he?
“Yoongi, tell me you don’t think about keeping it,” he didn’t wanted to say more nor go through the reasons they had to keep it, when in reality they both knew they should do something.
“I know I should, but-“ he massaged the back of his neck, eyes closed and a permanent frown on his face. When he opened his eyes again, Hoseok saw something akin to determination, “tell me you know something and I’ll help,”
“I do,” he smiled proudly, “NamJoon knows some people,”
“We shouldn’t get more people involved in this,” Yoongi warned before taking a step back, looking at the couch you were in just a moment ago. His mind took him to the first conversation you two had about it, and he hesitated. “If it doesn’t work, she will never trust us again.”
“Maybe if we talk with her first-“
“She won’t listen, Hoseok, I tried,” he sighed heavily. “She’s too scared and honestly I don’t blame her.”
“I’ll make sure only necessary people know about this. I’ll take care of everything, of her,” he gulped at the stern look Yoongi gave him, though he could see already the other was sold, “I really think we can help her.”
With a small nod of his head and shoulders slumping in defeat, he replied. “Alright, but we won’t be talking about this while she is here, you know where to find me and you have my number.”
Hoseok passed his hand through his hair, a sigh of relief leaving his lips - he knew he would not be able to do this without Yoongi’s help.
He held back his thank you when he noticed how the elder still looked down on him, gulping almost audibly when he slowly approached him - voice low so you would not listen even if you tried. “What about Taehyung?”
Hoseok knew that there was something wrong. He has known since the beginning, back then when they first met; even when they got along so well. He knew that there was this part of Yoongi that didn’t trust him - that didn’t trust him with you.
He heard about Taehyung once, but not just that.
He heard his name from your mouth too, he watched when your eyes glittered with longing and love, and he saw the hurt behind it all.
Yoongi had no idea though why he kept the other hybrid away from you, why he wanted to wait to tell you. But after today, seeing you so hurt and ready to keep this life in order to protect them, he decided that that won’t do.
Taehyung might be one of the few things (if not the only one) that will keep you sane during whatever will be the process you all will go through - and not just that, but simply because you don’t deserve to be in the dark about something like this.
Watching Hoseok hesitate before answering, he continued. “You will have to talk to them about it. You can’t keep this from them. You know you can’t, and especially now. She will need him.”
“I know,” he struggled to reply, eyebrows knitted together in apprehension, “I’ll tell her, I just need to talk with Tae first.”
“Good,” and with one last look and nothing left to say, Yoongi stomped off out of the office.
Not long after and Hoseok find himself wandering around the streets, the feeling of your lips still on his cheeks after you said goodbye.
He tried to push the thoughts away, to not think about you or the puppy, when suddenly he felt his phone buzz inside his pocket - the screen lighting up to show the latter’s face twisted in a silly expression and he felt at ease almost instantly when his voice ringed through the line when he picked it up.
“Is there a nice reason you didn’t say goodbye before leaving for work?” was that the greeting, Taehyung’s voice sounding deeper signaling he just woke up.
Hoseok laughed briefly before reminding why exactly he left earlier and what happened, anguish forcing the next sentence out of his mouth, “I was just thinking about you, Tae.”
And he heard the soft thud of Taehyung’s tail hitting the bed, “you were?”
“Yes,” he replied, aware that from now on his relationship with you and Taehyung will never be the same - whatever that meant to all of you. He knew he didn’t have the right anymore to feel jealous or scared, to keep this a secret - to keep you away from your happiness, from love.
He was the one who took Taehyung away from you, who heard the puppy cry your name at night and made promises he knew - since he realized he was in love with him, he wouldn’t keep. And now he does the thing he should have done since day one - when NamJoon told him yours and Yoongi’s names.
He clutches the device tighter, “I’m glad you called, I need to tell you something.”

Kisses, kisses everywhere. On your neck, private places, and even in your hair. His hands caressed each and every inch of your body in such a sinful way, the Devil himself couldn’t even think of nor cause a greater sin.
His hips grind in such an excruciatingly slow pace, but every grind sent a tingle of excitement to your core. A swarm of butterflies fill every aspect of your stomach so much that taking in a breathe was so painful.
The excitement you felt was so great that you couldn’t bring yourself to breathe. It was as if something heavy was sitting on your chest.
You became so eager that you grind your hips in time with his thrusts. The sound of his shallow breaths against your neck was a symphony to your ears, and so was the sound of metal clinking on each other.
That one sound was your escape. That metallic sound was enough to wake up the sanity that you had pushed so far back into your mind earlier.
All you had to do was say no right that very moment, but when his sweet sweet assault on your body intensified more, your sanity was again lost in the lustful fog that clouded your mind.
His fingers slid past the black lace and found your soaked core, smirking at what you had said earlier about him having absolutely no effect on you at all. You could feel the stupidity beginning to settle because you and him both knew that was, in fact, an absolute lie.
His long fingers found your tight walls, dragging them back and forth slowly on purpose, he wanted you to tease you so much that you had no choice but to beg.
And you did, and you made yourself loud and clear.
He was happy to give you what so desperately begged for. Your request led to you being fucked into oblivion against the wall, his cock a lot better and fulfilling than his heavenly fingers. The pleasure so great, so good that there was no way in Hell that you could keep quiet.
Your fingers ran through the raven colored hair as he struggled to not combust into your tight, wet heat so early, but it was a good thing that you reached your high before he did or else that would’ve been quite the embarrassment.
Never in your life had you experienced such a powerful feeling. It packed enough power to block out your sense of hearing for 7 seconds it lasted. It was enough to have you shaking against the now warm wall.
This man was, in fact, the devil himself because only the Devil could make mind-blowing sex seem like a religious experience.
But the guilt finally kicked in within several minutes of feeling his lips on your neck. You quickly pushed him away running towards the mirror to see a plethora of hickeys all over your neck.
You shouldn’t have come here in the first place, and now you were going to have to try the best you could to cover the purplish-red bruises on your skin.
Taehyung was not stupid, he would smell the cologne and eventually spot the hickeys as soon as you showered.

SUMMARY; Kim Taehyung hates Christmas, and he has no doubt that this holiday season will bring the same feelings of dread and discomfort that they always do. But when he's forced to spend time with a couple struggling to keep their beloved Christmas tree farm business afloat, he begins to realize that money and prestige aren't the most important things in life after all—and that a little love can go a long ways.
MASTERLIST
— thank you to @monotape for this beautiful banner and @dreamyhan for helping me brainstorm this fic. i love you guys 🤍
Just getting the tree and leaving is, apparently, much easier said than done. Taehyung knew he’d hate it here—he’s always hated Christmas tree farms—but he’d underestimated just how much the atmosphere would upset him.
Colorful Christmas lights decorate the light poles lining the long and winding drive, the soft glow doing its part in illuminating the sign reading Evergreen Tree Farm. Small crystalline flakes of soft white snow have begun to float down from the sky, and despite the sickness brewing in Taehyung’s stomach from the sight of so many giggling children and candy-cane decorations, the steady snowfall brings him a slight feeling of ease.
He’s always loved the snow.
His tires crunch against gravel as he pulls his truck into a vacant spot. It’s surprisingly easy to find one—from what he can remember as a kid, finding parking at these places was usually a nightmare.
Taehyung shakes his head. It doesn’t matter, he reminds himself as he jumps out of the driver’s seat and onto the gravel below, taking the time to adjust the collars of his trenchcoat so they block the chilly wind, just get the tree and leave.
“Hello!”
Taehyung looks up to face the cheery voice before him, eyebrows raising incrementally as he takes in an easy smile and twinkling eyes. “Good evening.”
“What can I do for you today?” You ask, your cheeks tinted pink from the chilly air.
Taehyung exhales slowly. “I’m here to buy a tree.”
“Well, you’re in the right place,” you beam, “Feel free to take a look around. When you find one you like, just come grab me and I’ll get you all taken care of, alright? My name is Y/N; don’t be afraid to holler if you need anything.”
Taehyung nods curtly and turns to walk away before you can say another word.
Soft white snow crunches beneath his shoes as he floats through the rows of trees on the property, occasionally having to dodge running children with a slightly annoyed huff. Laughter and love dance in the air around him, but it only serves to worsen his mood; every family here is only deluding themselves into thinking a silly little trip to the Christmas tree farm will do something to improve their holiday cheer back at home.
News flash: twinkling lights and the scent of pine trees won’t fix your relationship with your daughter, David. And the charm of the living tree will fade once it starts shedding all over your Christmas floor and the needles clog the hose on your super-expensive vacuum.
Okay, maybe he’s projecting a little. He just really hates Christmas tree farms.
In all honesty, he’s a little surprised by how… sad the farm looks. Despite the gleeful children and overall feeling of holiday cheer permeating the air, there are far fewer people than he would’ve expected to be at a place as classically Christmas as this little farm is, and if he looks close enough he can see where little improvements need to be made around the farm.
A few of the lights on the colorful strands strung above his head are cracked or broken, and the arrows on the directional signs could definitely use a fresh layer of paint. But something inside of him is able to appreciate the raw authenticity of it.
It’s almost like the little imperfections make the place more real; more relatable to a person burned by the harsh realities of a family who simply doesn’t care. Just like the holiday itself, there are flaws that go unseen by unobservant eyes, small discrepancies that go unnoticed and unaddressed by those who don’t care enough to truly look into the lives of those less fortunate than them.
But that’s an issue for another day. Taehyung is here to buy a damn Christmas tree for his sweet and kind (albeit moderately invasive) mother, not to relive his childhood trauma.

ONE VHOPE COMING RIGHT UP FOR MY FAVORITE PERSON EVER
Knock knock knock.
“Hobi?” you murmur, shifting slightly to press your face further into your boyfriend’s chest, “Who’s that?”
“‘M Not sure, baby,” he replies, bringing up a delicate hand to card through your hair, “Why don’t you go see?”
You let out a groan and peer up at him with the biggest puppy dog eyes you can muster. “But I’m so cozy.”
“I know you are, baby. But I think this visitor might be worth getting up for.”
You frown at his cryptic comment before sitting up with a small huff, stretching your limbs before sliding off of the couch and padding over towards the front door. You hope the guest isn’t too special; all you’re wearing is one of Hoseok’s sweatshirts and a pair of Taehyung’s sweatpants. Both items are too big for you-- you had to roll up the waistband of the sweatpants a few times for them to even stay on-- but they make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, especially considering how Taehyung has been traveling around the world for work for the past eight weeks.
The person at the door knocks again. “Coming!” You call out, socked feet shuffling a little faster. When you reach the door, you unlock it without a second thought, throwing it open and immediately apologizing. “Sorry about making you wait, I was-- oh my god, Taehyung?”
Your other boyfriend is standing before you-- the one who’d been for eight whole weeks-- with his classic boxy smile plastered to his face. His fluffy black hair is hanging over his face and his arms are wide open, waiting for you to jump into his embrace.
“I’m home.”
Tears of joy are flowing down your face freely at this point. Taehyung lets out a small oomph when you finally throw yourself into his embrace. His arms envelop you completely, and at this moment, you realize you’ve never felt so safe.
“I missed you so much,” you cry, squeezing your arms around Taehyung’s torso a little tighter. His chest rumbles with a small chuckle beneath your ear.
“I missed you too, baby,” he smiles and presses a kiss to the top of your head, “Where’s Hobi?”
“I’m here.” The soft, familiar voice of your other boyfriend comes speaks up from what you assume is the doorway behind you. You can hear the smile in his voice, and before you know it, a second pair of arms are encircling you from behind.
The three of you remain entwined for a few minutes, allowing you to soak in the body heat of the boy you’ve missed so much while his shirt soaks up your tears. You don’t have to look to know that Hoseok is crying as well-- just because he knew Taehyung was coming home before this didn’t make it any less emotional for him.
“I got something for you,” Taehyung announces as he pulls away, leaving Hoseok to wrap his arm around your shoulders on the front porch while he runs out to his car to grab your surprise gift.
“Told you it was worth it to get up and check the door,” Hobi teases before raising a thumb to wipe away the remaining tears on your cheeks. You let out a small giggle in response, turning to press a quick kiss to his cheek.
When Taehyung comes back, he’s holding a mediocrely wrapped package, a huge red bow stuck to the top of it. It’s clear that he wrapped it himself. “Here,” he grins, “I got it from a small coffee shop in Croatia. I thought you’d like it.”
Ripping open the gift like a kid on Christmas Day, your heart flutters at the contents. It’s a large package of ground black coffee-- your favorite kind. “Thank you, Tae,” you smile, gazing down at the package with warm eyes, “I love it.”
“Wanna go make some right now?” Hobi offers. Upon your enthusiastic approval, he reaches out to take the package from you before turning to walk into the house.
It doesn’t take too long for the coffee to brew, but the second it’s done, you’re blowing across the top and taking small sips. It tastes heavenly, and not for the first time, you’re thankful for Taehyung and his innate ability to pick amazing gifts. But more than anything, you’re thankful to be standing in this kitchen with the two people you love the most.
“I love you guys,” you pout and shuffle over to stand between them, pointing a finger at Taehyung, “You’d better not leave me for eight weeks again. I missed you too much.”
“You know I can’t promise that,” Taehyung frowns, brushing a stray hair out of your face, “But what I can promise is that I’ll always come back to you.”
Hoseok scoots to stand next to you, throwing an arm over your shoulder to pull you into a warm side-hug. You melt into him without hesitation. Taehyung smiles at the two of you before setting down his coffee behind him.
When he turns back to face you, he lifts his hands to cup your face before swooping down and pressing a kiss to your lips. The kiss is sweet; you can taste the coffee that lingers on his mouth as his lips move gently against yours. It only lasts a moment before he pulls away to gently peck Hobi’s mouth as well.
“No matter how long I’m gone or how far away I travel, I will always come back home to the two of you. You’re my whole world,” he smiles, “and you’d best not forget it, because you aren’t getting rid of me anytime soon.”

part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 | ??? | masterlist
You were really smart - so no one would be surprised to find out about how you learned to avoid your owner in order to have things going on smoothly (or something close to it) at home.
He is not a man who’s known for his patience, is mostly like someone who gets annoyed pretty easily, and for him it seemed like you had a degree on doing so - annoy him, that is, so not being around was the thing that were working for the two of you at the moment.
In the beginning you were pretty sure there was a problem in the way he treated you; but after finding out you were a gift, one that he could not refuse seeing as you were given from a potential business partner, you started to understand him. Or at least you tried.
You know he regrets signing papers of adoption and having you around. You saw how he was fond of his privacy and that you just destroyed it when he had to take you. And there’s nothing you can do, really, other then feel guilty for behaving the way you do; so you always try your best to not do the things he says he hates about you.
He likes to remind you now and then that you have too much energy for a cat, and if it weren’t for your appendages you would be mistaken by a dog - like it was something to be offended, but he made it like you should feel like it was.
You also wouldn’t shut up a time ago, before the first time he snapped and hit you, saying how ridiculous your voice sounded when you talked.
But really, what about you were not like this?
You remember a time, at the farm you grew up in, where the other hybrids would call you vexing - until he went to your rescue.
You can’t really blame your owner then, can you?
That was probably the reason that took you so long to be adopted - and if it is to be honest, you were not. You were still an unwanted gift.
You should be grateful about the few things he gives you and the little liberty you have, because it could be worse. And he would not let you forget about it.
A few months after you had started your life with him, someone offered you a job at that one music store you like to go every day while your owner is at work.
When you told him that you first thought he wouldn’t like the idea, but he did. Almost just as much as you did.
In fact, he felt really relieved because you already spent most of your time there and now he is having the chance to not have you around for a while longer - and by obligation.
Unfortunately he had the time to think about it and got scared - not that you would ever know about it, but he asked you to wait a few days before giving Yoongi, the owner of the place who wanted to hire you, an answer.
You bit the inside of your cheeks apprehensively, but still nodded your head seeing that you could do nothing but that.
He knows something about you that makes the inside of his stomach twist every time he thinks about it. You get attached to people too fast.
And if he didn’t have to put you on your place all the time, he knows how much you would like him too.
Hybrids are loyal to people they like by nature, but it doesn’t matter how important of a person you are, you need to treat them nicely to receive all their love. And there’s still that part in you that won’t let you fall for him that easy after the way he treated and keeps treating you.
That’s why he heard a lot of people force them to do so, to love their owners; because they want someone to them but are too bad at giving themselves back.
Or they are just mean, like him.
He doesn’t really know any, but he already scared you with the stories about prostitution and all kinds of abuse towards your kind; things that makes you feel sick and behave before he lets go of your now bruised arm.
It is in moments like these that he reminds you to feel grateful, and so you do.
But you don’t love him, you can’t. Because of that and something else.
He knows though that if he didn’t keep pushing you away you would like him, and that’s the reason he is scared of letting you work for Yoongi.
Someone wants to take you away from him? He doesn’t care.
Jesus, he would appreciate if someone did that. But in which circumstances?
As the CEO of a big and famous company, he is vulnerable. Even when he is a very powerful man.
People might not know you well, but they’ve seen you around with him - it was doing some good to his image even, but although the law wasn’t really on the side of your species, there was people, powerful people like him, trying to change that; so it is not like he can have the luxury of anyone knowing about what he does to you.
He wouldn’t let you ruin another thing for him.
That was when he started to wonder about the what ifs. What if you tell everything to someone at work? What if that someone decides to do something about it? What if someone sees it?
He left too many marks on your body from his drunk nights and bad days, marks from when he wanted to make you shut up or just to relieve some stress. How bad for him it would be if someone sees them?
But then you begged when you started to notice that he was about to tell you no.
Feeling annoyed, he threatened you.
You want to work there? Go ahead, just make sure to keep your mouth shut. And don’t you dare disobey me.
But you are smart, remember? You would not disobey, you promised. And you take these seriously.
At the time you didn’t have any friends, so the last thing you thought was that keep everything as a secret would be difficult.
It was not like you had anyone to worry about you and you wanted so bad to work there that if it was going to be a problem you would solve it. No one can know about it, so no one will.
He was reluctant at first but after a week that he talked to you you started working at the store.
You remember the first time you entered the place, thinking that you would die before having the chance to listen to every song and kind of music that they had.
You also remember meeting Yoongi, the one who always had a sweet smile to show you and played the old piano at the corner for you when you weren’t feeling really good. He was the closest you could call a friend, though you knew it was still far from it - at least you thought.
He even gave you his old ipod when he learned you couldn’t listen to music in your house because your owner had really bad headache - he pretended he believed you when you said so and you couldn’t be happier.
That was until he asked if you wanted to work there.
You saw the paper that read they were looking for a new employee carefully glued in one of the large windows one day, where you spent more than necessary time looking at it.
He spotted you and asked if you were interested, and you didn’t notice you nodded your head because you were still surprised he gave you attention about something like a job.
So just imagine how you felt when he asked - excited - if you wanted to work there.
You know the place with the back of your hand and people like to talk to you when they come here, why not?
After that it didn’t take long for you to see you were friends.
Yoongi was kind and surprisingly talkative - at least when it involved music, and you two kept playing around about how he behaved more like a cat than you did, making him scrunch his nose cutely and shake his head before turning to assist someone.
People would say it was too soon but you were seeing each other every day, so it was not supposed to be a surprise when he started to know you well. But it was for you, because he did it perfectly.
The first time he saw you flinch was to the sound of the top board of the piano closing loudly, after the careless coworker who was cleaning it misjudged how heavy it was.
Yoongi thought it had something to do with you being a cat or the fact that you sometimes pay too much attention at the little things and forget that there’s a world around you too, and that other things are actually happening.
Then there was a second time, in the same day, and he frowned at you, asking with his eyes if you were alright from across the room when a customer was right in front of you and patted your shoulder to thank you for something and you flinched at his touch. You just gave Yoongi a thin smile.
Too enamored by the vinyls at his hands, the customer didn’t notice when you tensed nor how you were grasping the hem of your dress. But Yoongi did.
He started to pay more attention at you.
At how you would suddenly shut up and feel embarrassed when you thought you were talking too much and being a burden or how you averted your eyes when he was about to lecture you about something you messed up in the store. How your tail would curl around your waist protectively or how you lingered the moment to go home.
You can’t really remember how, but you convinced your owner one night that call in sick at work would worry more than give a good excuse, so one week or less after Yoongi’s eyes trained themselves on everything you did, you showed up with a sprained wrist.
Poorly patched, there was also that.
The customers who were curious enough to ask believed when you told them you hurt yourself at home one day after falling, but Yoongi figured things out too fast and later that day he asked to talk to you in a tone that had your ears glued to your head in apprehension.
You knew what he wanted to talk about so you tried to make up an excuse for that too, but he wasn’t having any of it.
After almost an entire hour talking with him and explaining things, you convinced - read forced, him to promise you that he wouldn’t do anything. And as hard as it was, because he was angry and he didn’t want you to go home that day, he had to listen to you. You had your reasons to leave things the way they were.
So he let you go.
But after that things changed drastically between you and him.
He started to take care of you like you were something to be treasured and you didn’t know you needed it until you had it. He took care of your wounds and gave you a shoulder to cry when it was too much, he was making sure you were eating properly and even increased your salary so you could save money - just in case, yes? he said to you with a tight smile.
Right at the beginning you were given the job of putting the vinyls and cds in their place and helping people find what they were looking for, but then Yoongi thought it would be better for you to open the store and work on the weekends too.
He saw how much you liked to be there, anyway.
And he would never admit it was because you would stay away from home for most of the time.
Just until I can find a solution.
Yoongi was right. Customers loved to talk to you and not much after your workload changed there was a special one who started to go more often just to see you.
Jung Hoseok insists for you to call him Hobi so he can have the excuse himself to call you kitten and to see how flustered you get.
He has that scent in him that reminds you of someone you love a lot - until you were forced to go into separate ways, and every time he is around it comforts you.
He went there for the first time because one of his friends, NamJoon - who were also friends with Yoongi, recommended.
Being a dance instructor and having a Youtube Channel that grew every day were much to have him in love with music, but he missed going to places where it had a more relaxing atmosphere; and the store was the perfect one.
He just wasn’t really expecting to have more than that.
To say he was enchanted by you should be an understatement - and with his own lover at home, he felt guilty.
But pushed both feelings aside until he convinced himself that fall platonically for you wouldn’t hurt, though he knew the moment he went home and Taehyung smelled you on him he was doing something really wrong.
Good thing Hoseok is good at lying, so none of you suspected a thing.
He kept his visits to the store religiously, always with his eyes glued to the way you gesture with your hands when you talk or how you tilt your head and twitch your ears when you are paying attention at something he is saying.
And not even the dread feeling that engulfed him when Taehyung buried his face on his neck to both scent him and smell you, made him stop coming.
Nor Taehyung explanation to why the new smell was so addictive - with his puppy ears lowered in guilty too, could stop Hoseok.
Especially because you seemed to be just as happy to see him every time the bell rings when he steps into the store.
You and Hoseok would talk about everything and nothing, but what really had the two of you in a world where just you and him existed were dancing - you tell him about how you used to dance with an old friend, and how you just feel like you don’t have it inside you anymore.
He didn’t insist when he noticed you were lying or how your tail curled around your waist - a small sad smile plastered across your face while you avoided looking him in the eyes.
When you met Hoseok, Yoongi noticed how lazy you were to do your work with him around; but seeing how happy you were after days feeling insecure he decided to keep quiet, helping the customers who usually liked to be around you.
Honestly, he was just as happy to see you opening up to someone other than himself.
Hoseok kept coming after that day. And the next one. Then the others too.
It turned to be a part of his routine; he would wake up a little earlier than he is used just to tell you to have a good day and sometimes give you some food he made the day prior and then go to work.
You didn’t notice when you started to bounce on your feet waiting for him, nibbling the tip of your finger, afraid he wouldn’t show up. But he always did.
And if he’s too late for work - Taehyung’s fault, he would make sure to go there on his lunch time to keep you company or before you close the store so he can walk you to the bus stop.
The latter being his favorite, as it is the only moment you spend just being the two of you, without Yoongi having to call out because he is being a distraction.
And speaking of which, the older found his soulmate on the dancer; being distracted into music topics just as much as you were.
The three of you could always be seen messing around at the store and playing tricks with each other during the week and sometimes in the weekends - always careful to not disturb any customer. You also took your time to be more dedicated even when you had Yoongi in the palm of your hand, because you couldn’t risk being lazier and losing the job.
Sometimes even NamJoon would appear to keep you company.
You realized how happy you were now with all of this, with them. And how much you were missing while living with someone like your owner - you thought that after that someone you loved, you would not be able to feel like this ever again. But Hoseok is giving you much more than good talk and being a good friend, yes. He reminds you of someone and how much you miss love.
From this specific someone, but not just that.
While you can’t forget about him - and you would never want to - every day that pass you grow more and more attached to Hoseok. And while you want to say it is not very different from the relationship you have with Yoongi or NamJoon, it is.
It is not different though from the one you used to have with Taehyung.
Before he was taken from you, that is.

The streets were covered in a thin lay of white snow; Hoseok's folded ears red under his beanie, while his breath turned into vapor in front of him.
Too early in the morning, he stepped inside the music store - sighing pleasantly when the warmth coming from the heater engulfed him, bell chiming throughout the space and warning Yoongi of his presence.
The grumpy man got up startled from where he was crouched down behind the counter and frowned at the sight of his friend though it didn’t stop the corner of his lips to stretch into a sweet greeting.
“You are early,” he pointed out, messing with papers between his fingers. “Y/N is not even here yet,” was sighed, “and by the disappointment in your face I assume you are here to see her?” Yoongi teased, but the playful glint inside his eyes turned fast into a serious one just like his voice. “Hobi, do you know what you are doing, right?”
Hoseok took off his beanie, grasping it on his hands before shoving it on the pocket of his heavy winter coat, twisting his feet uncomfortably the way he did whenever one of his friends brought this up.
“I-“
The wind swirled when you opened the door, the sweet twinkling of the bell barely audibly. Hoseok felt relief wash over because of the interruption, but his breath got caught up inside his lungs when he turned to the sight of you.
“Shit,” he heard from Yoongi.
Your ears - that first were flattened against your skull, twitched and you snapped your head up, eyes landing on Hoseok; you opened and closed your mouth, stuttering something incomprehensible, only snapping out when he reached a hand to touch your arm, calling for your name with concern.
Is that blood in your mouth?
“H-hi, Hobi,” you bowed, moving away from him, ignoring how he twisted his expression in one of hurt. “I can’t right now, okay?” you said softly with a comforting smile - or what you thought were one, and he noticed the way you diverted your attention from him to Yoongi before walking to the office at the back of the store.
Yoongi hurries after you, not without sending a warning glare to Hoseok who was left behind with his heart beating small on his chest.
Back where the small office is located, you explain Yoongi how you and your owner had a fight on the night prior, not giving away many details.
With your wrists sore and hidden under the sleeves of your sweater, he sees how hard it is for you to breath. Afraid you will pass out because of that, he helps you to the worn out couch with trembling hands.
You remind him of the promise he made, hands squeezing his tightly before letting go to rest them on your side.
“Y/N,” he started, cheeks flushed with anger. But you won’t let him do that. Try and convince you. You won’t let him get hurt.
So you are the one trying to convince, making him repeat the promise he made months ago. It was not easy, it never is easy, but a few minutes later - that felt like excruciating hours, he leaves the room and soon the store to buy you pain killers and something to eat.
The silence echoes loudly inside your sensitive ears and you get up slowly to curl against the wall, knees pressed to your chest.
You are trying to take in deep breaths without hurting yourself when someone opens the door.
Hoseok.
Your tail wraps around your waist tightly and you bite your lips hard to hold back a painful whimper, the metallic taste of blood swirling inside your mouth.
With his eyebrows knitted together in worry, Hoseok crouches down in front of you.
“What’s wrong, kitten?” the sweet tone of his voice and the way he looks at you is enough to have you crying - but you hold that one back too.
“What do you mean?” you tilted your head, ears cutely flopping to the side too, false innocence so he could see you mean it. “There’s nothing wrong,”
You tried to smile, but like the first one he couldn’t see any emotion in it.
“Yoongi left in a hurry and asked me to leave, but I’m not leaving you behind looking like this,” he watches the way you breath and how your fingers grasp the fabric of your clothes on your side, “it doesn’t seem like nothing,” he continued, not mentioning the cut in your mouth nor the tear-stained cheeks. “Are you hurt?”
You shake your head no, but he carefully reaches his hand to yours, watching you attentively. He caresses you with his cold fingers and you lean towards his touch.
You unwrap your tail from your waist when he tugs on your sweater. Hesitantly, you let him lift it with a shaky breath.
There’s no point in trying to hide, right? He is here already, he had seen enough. And you are so tired, so you close your eyes and let him - avoiding his gaze because you don’t want to see the look on his face when he sees it.
Hoseok stomach sinks at the sight of purple and reddish colors on your skin.
You don’t tell him you can hear his fast beating heart.
You flinched slightly when he traced the swallowed skin with his fingers tips. “Ah, kitten,” his breath stuttered when he cooed, “I’m so sorry.”
You wonder why he is apologizing and when you started crying.
He sits on your side and engulfs you in a hug. Gentle to not hurt you any further but firmly, trying to give you some comfort - and really? Trying to comfort himself too. How can someone touch you like that?
You are thinking about the same thing, but in a way that is too different from his while you try to focus on his embrace.
You hide your face on his neck, hands coming to hold his blouse tightly under his coat. Your hiccups make your body tremble and you whimper because it hurts.
Hoseok pulls you away so he can look at your face and he smiles sadly when you whine, trying to come closer again.
“Who did that to you?” he asked.
You stop moving and rest your head on his shoulder. He sighs when you don’t say anything, eyes glued at the wall in front of you.
“We have to tell this to your owner,” your breath hitches and he frown, getting up and offering his hand to you. “C’me on, kitten, let’s sit on the couch, this position is not good for you.”
“Won’t you be late for work?” you asked, still looking at the wall.
“Work, Y/N, really? Look at you,” he said exasperated, and you pressed your back further against the wall. He crouches in front of you again, voice toned down. “I’m sure Yoongi won’t mind if we tell this to your owner,” he tried, “you can stay a few days at home to recover.”
You grunted, pushing him away weakly - he didn’t move an inch. “Exactly!”, you cried, tensing the second you realize what you just said and watching horrified when realization hits Hoseok too.
“Your owner did that,” it wasn’t a question and you shuffled to the side, supporting your body on the wall to get up. Hoseok moves fast and helps you, sitting you on the couch like you were supposed to and slumping his body next to yours. “Stop pushing me away, it hurts” he muttered.
You don’t reply, tears pricking at the back of your eyes again.
“That’s not the first time, is it?” he asked quietly after a while and you looked at him to find him already with his eyes on you.
You shake your head, serious expression, “No.”
He swallowed the invisible ball on his throat and nodded, a soft okay leaving his lips.
You don’t like the way he is looking at you, expression as serious as yours and a hint of despair that has your heart squeezed inside of you.
You like when he smiles and when he looks like the sun, when he is talkative and touchy but not as careful as he is being right now - not just because he doesn’t want to hurt you, but because he doesn’t want to hurt you more. You didn’t want him to see you like this.
You are only aware that you started crying again because he held your chin up to wipe the tears away, kissing your cheekbones with so much fondness that you were able to feel it through his cold lips.
“What can I do?” he asked against you.
You pulled away, ears perked up on the top of your head and nose brushing his - almost going crossed eyes when you asked, “what?”
“What can I do for you so he won’t hurt you again? How-“ he held your face between his hands, resting his forehead on yours, “how do I take you away from him?”
Your tail brushed against his waist and you sighed softly before smiling sadly at him.
“Hobi, I really appreciate that but there’s nothing you can do,” you said, “please stay out of it.”
He doesn’t understand. He sits impossibly closer to you, ready to ask you one million questions, offer another million answers and tell you he wants to help you when the door bursts open and a breathless Yoongi comes in.
