I went and saw Hobo Johnson in Vicar street last night and it was so much fun! Really great energy, he had more rock elements in person and there was points where he just recited his poetry and it was awesome. I got to meet him afterwards, but I felt so guilty for hanging around because he was so sick. He wasn’t able to take his guitar back to America so he told us to pick a number between 1 and 100 and he’d give it to whoever guessed correctly and I won it >:) (it was 74). He was really nice he was really sick and he tried so hard to please everyone there. Tbh I felt a little like a lot of the people who waited round just wanted to feel like they rubbed shoulders with someone famous and not that they enjoyed what he does past that one song so I felt bad that they wouldn’t let him leave, me and my friends left before him because he felt so guilty. Also at one point his mic went out for a good 5 minutes and we started shouting “ooh ah up the ra” and he joined in which was hilarious.
