Dick Van Dyke stumbles over an ottoman on Diagnosis: Murder (FMurder, aired 17 Dec 1999) as his character guest-stars on a tv show with the comedic brilliance that Is Vicky Lawrence.

It's a reference to the famous entrances Dick Van Dyke Show. There were multiple ottoman gags on DVDS, most famous is this one.
