Kérdések a zöldekről
Ezután találtam rá a búzafűlére, ami italporként fogyasztható.
Practicing thankfulness is the most effective coping technique that I am aware of. To develop a grateful attitude, we need to practice one simple activity--notice the positive side of events in our lives. The very best way to do this is to keep a gratitude journal. Buy yourself a notebook and start writing three to five grateful notes daily. I think that we should be grateful not only for the positive but also the negative experiences. Often it is the most painful events in our lives that shape the qualities in ourselves we value most. I met a person who kept his gratitude journal for ten years. He claimed that his life turned from misery to happiness, thanks to his journal. Other people keep their gratitude journals until they develop a subconscious, ongoing mental pattern of thankfulness. In one experiment, writing notes of appreciation lead to increases in high-frequency heart rate variability in participants. The high frequency band of the heart rate power spectrum is believed to reflect the input of the parasympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system to the heart and is related to a variety of beneficial mental and physical health outcomes. ... Thankfulness goes side-by-side with forgiveness. Grateful people who are accustomed to seeing the brighter side of life are most likely to feel empathy towards the person who hurt them and be able to forgive the offender. - from 12 Steps to Raw Foods: How to End Your Dependency on Cooked Food by Victoria Boutenko

favorite green smoothie recipe
a favorite green smoothie recipe - it kinda tastes bubble-gum-like (I think it has to do with the pineapple/ginger/banana combo). Ingredients are all organic:
Dandelion leaves - 1 bunch - depending on the size (roughly 2-4 cups) Pineapple - 1 1/2 - 2 slices Banana - 1 Ginger - 1/2" (or more - to taste) Raspberries - 1/8 - 1/4 C (I usually use frozen unless fresh are good price) Blueberries -1/4 C (I usually use frozen unless fresh are a good price) Water - 1 -2 C Mix all in high speed blender like Vitamix or Blendtec (I have this one) It's pretty darn good - dandelion is my favorite green. If you read Victoria's website, she stresses the importance of rotating the greens you use.
Reading, reading, reading...
My raw food library has expanded yet again today. I ordered "Raw & Beyond" by one of my favorite raw foodie authors/experts - Victoria Boutenko. This book is co-written with Elaina Love and Chad Sarno, and at first glance it's a big disappointment for although there are many raw food recipes - there are NO PHOTOS! You'll have to wait for me to read it to see if "Raw & Beyond" earns a spot in my monthly eNewsletter book review section. What raw food book have you read lately?
