This week I attended the Saint Louis Woman's Club luncheon as a guest with my friends of the @winteroperastl and I think you might appreciate some pictures since the building and events are extremely exclusive to members: ☆ This association was created by and for women in 1903 having the 1st president Kate M. Howard and it has done so much for youth and art in Saint Louis. They still sponsor and give scholarships regularly and you can apply to one of their many programs! The building is Victorian and it has a beautiful and elegant #guildedage decor. You’re responsible for all this, you know. I have very wild dreams with lots of weird settings and architecture, but every time I try and draw them, they get rather tame. So this is an experiment where I’m trying to do what the cubists did: ‘flatten’ the perspective and draw everything I can remember from these settings. In this case it was a Victorian mansion that was so big, the outside was also part of the inside (an impossible thing to draw).
