so yup, this new au, which im naming “Victory” (the names ironic, btw) has really got to me lmao
(and yes i referenced a few httyd scenes to get the dragons right)
so basically this is an alternate httyd 2 ending: what happened was hiccup and the gang got back to berk too late, and drago had already destroyed and killed all of berk’s residents. in an attempt to get toothless back, hiccup fails and drago takes no hesitation to kill everyone left using toothless while hiccup is down. (which includes valka, astrid, gobber, snotlout, fish, the twins, and eret) now with hiccup left on his own, drago doesnt even care if the boy lives or dies, as he has absolutely nothing left, and retreats, leaving hiccup alone because he is certain the boy will kill himself over his grief.
after drago leaves, long story short, hiccup teams up with dagur, and using the bewilderbeast that hiccup swore the berzerker chief to keep hidden under his island, demands they train it and fight back drago to get toothless. hiccup also finds a skrill along the way. yes he knows he is prone to electrocution, no, he doesnt care and his flight suit keeps him from being struck (idk how still figuring that out) and four years later, after training dragons and themselves, hiccup dagur, heather and their bewilderbeast prepare to fight back drago and his own to get hiccup’s best friend back.
hopefully this story (and fanart) turns out as epic as i hope it will be
