hi I'm tristan and I love your blog, qm is one of my favourite things ^^ a cool (or I think it's cool anyway but I'm a nerd) fact about me is I wrote an 11000 word dissertation on queer subtext in the great gatsby for an extra credit course, with a good half of my motivation being to prove that I could indeed write an essay on how gay it is

ELEVEN THOUSAND WORDS ABOUT GATSBY!?! That’s so amazing!! If I were the tinyadventureclub I would make you a merit badge! ESPECIALLY since it was about queer subtext. 

Absolutely superb, my friend. 

I wrote a book last year! The entire novel took me two weeks to write and I was very pleased with the story. But then after ten editions of edits and dealing with publishing, it really ruined how much that story felt to me.

i have some oc’s who kinda,,,,,, came about bc of circumstances such as ‘ok but cute boys with freckles’ so i guess some of em

2: What work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?

I mean, maybe Live By The Sword? Not because it’s particularly embarrassing in and of itself, but it’s a 75k word manuscript that I have no intention of ever finishing which is…kind of embarrassing.

9: What, if anything, do you do for inspiration?

Cry.

12: Your weaknesses as an author?

Plot. I can’t plan or plot to save my life I’m sorry I’m a mess

13: Your strengths as an author?

I really like my style, I’ve spent a lot of time cultivating it! And character dynamics I’m really good at characters and character dynamics. And I think I’m improving with description.

19: When it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?

As already stated I’m a MESS and I DON’T. I’m currently working on two Real Projects, one of which has no planning even though it has double timelines, four POV characters, and traverses billions of years and the other of which has intricately detailed character dynamic plotted out and nothing else.
