So, I play a lot of Fallout 4. While my non-survival-difficulty games have had zero long-term note-taking, my survival-mode games are a whole other story. Wednesday’s notebook page has the least amount of info partly because she’s my first proper survival game and has a lot of literally-dead settlements; Seth’s page has the most columns due to going way too overboard on how much info I was trying to keep track of. In the end, I find the six-column version (like Nyu’s) the most useful and least confusing as to “okay, I’m 30 settlements deep, which heckin’ column do I checkmark for ____?”
As such, the most useful categories are Water, Bed, Crafting, Fryer, Arch (for them radiation cures), and 100 Defense (because that’s the most that matters when the game does rolls to work out a settlement defense you didn’t go help with). Even though the donut fryer is a crafting bench, it gets its own column due to specifically needing “cooking oil” to build it, versus the other crafting benches that build off standard junk. And “PA” notes in the stash lists are power armor frames waiting to be moved to somewhere more useful.
Wednsday has population numbers on some raider outposts because the game was lagging so bad on my old hardware that I started culling off the extras, but thanks to upgrades I think I will just let them expand again. Phear, Commonwealth, phear! >D

No machine gun or fanny pack after you solve this borderline-identical-to-Resident-Evil-2 puzzle, but stopping scalding hot steam can be its own reward.
