Video Games Are Fun! - Paperboy
I first played the original Paperboy videogame with the awesome handlebars controller at Lake Quassapaug Amusement Park in Middlebury, Connecticut, about 100 years ago. I was a paperboy at the time, so it really spoke to me, as you can imagine. The game followed the adventures of a local paperboy as he just tried to deliver the daily paper. The lad in the game seemed to deal with obstacles of a bit more threatening naure than I, but otherwise it was an exact replication of my paper-delivery experience.
Annnnnd back to comics! I'm sorry to say Twisted Tropes is going on hiatus while Tv Tropes (www.tvtropes.org) makes some necessary updates to their comics section. It's been an absolute blast (I love them all, I go through them and chuckle and pat myself on the back sometimes. I know, I'm an egocentric monster.) and hopefully we'll get back to it soon. However, I'm EXTREMELY happy to say I'm going to be doing a new comic for the awesome folks at GameRaven (www.gameraven.com) called, appropriately enough, "Video Games Are Fun!". I've always wanted to do a video game based comic and I can't tell you how excited I am to be finally drawing one. We're still working on building a page for them, but this first one is sorta timely, so here's a sneak peak. These'll be coming out twice a month and will all deal with video games in one way or another, even if the connection is a bit... tenuous. Check it out, hope ya dig it!
