Mechanicus in a nutshell

*might be domestic only!
Having just finished playing Warhammer 40k Mechanicus for the first time, I think one thing I enjoyed the most is how Faustinius is just so clearly absolutely Done™ with both Scaevola's and Videx's respective bullshit.
Every time I picked a mission from Scaevola it went something like this
Scaevola: "There's a new artifact on the radar!!!:DDD" Faustinius: "*sigh* of course. And I assume you want it?" Scaevola: "yes [truth] [not lying] [very important] [hardly concealed excitement]" Faustinius: "*even deeper sigh* Alright, give me ONE reason why we should risk human lives for your new toy and we'll dispatch a team there." Scaevola: "You WOUND my HONOR Magos I am but a woman of SCIENCE and I have only the PUREST, most selfless of intentions at heart! OBVIOUSLY we NEED this artifact to defeat the Necrons, because the more intelligence we have on them, the greater our chances of survival and success! Honestly, that you would even THINK that I am doing this for any other reason than fulfilling our sacred Quest for Knowledge, is an affront to me!" Faustinius: "Alright, alright, fine, by the Omnissiah, shut up, we'll go get it." Scaevola: "yey:>"
Meanwhile picking a Videx mission be like
Videx: "Magos there is something I must inform you of IMMEDIATELY this is a matter of UTMOST importance that you must attend to post-haste lest we all fall" Faustinius: "Right, what is it?" Videx: "You see…………………… Those Flayers………………………. they are………. COMPLETELY unclean!" Faustinius: "… what." Videx: "You see, Magos, those filthy xenos do not bathe in holy water and never say their prayers to the Machine God! Not to mention they don't perform the sacred rite of thought purification! One shudders to think what unclean, filthy thoughts lie in those corrupted minds of theirs! This is prime heresy, worse, this is a complete moral apocalypse! If we do not do something about it right this instant, our very own souls and the souls of all of our troops will surely become tainted with their filth from standing within their unholy presence!" Faustinius: "…rrrrrrrrright. Our souls. Moral purity. Yes. Have you… perhaps considered that, at the present moment, the greater threat these Flayers present to our troops and their morale is that they will, oh I dunno, skin them alive before brutally dismembering them and arranging their limbs in a macabre display?" Videx: "But that is just what I am saying! To quote the venerable S'un T'zu, Personal Memoirs, page 31: "Holy fuck, burn that shit with fire, what in the fresh hell is this abomination". Clearly, we must apply a generous amount of both the smoke of the holy incense and the smoke of flamers to deal with this moral threat as efficiently as possible." Faustinius: "…Aight, you know what, fuck it, why not. Do whatever it is you think you need to do, I'll take care of the burning down everything in our path part. At least we'll make life a little bit easier for the Skitarii."
And then at the end of the game, when Szaregon is finally defeated, Faustinius finally hits a critical limit on the amount of bullshit he's willing to handle, and literally goes "fuck you all, fuck this, I wanna go home, fuck this shit I'm out" and decides that he's not getting paid enough for this shit, and that the greater Adeptus Mechanicus should take care of this now and fucks off back to Mars. Big mood, Magos Faustinius, big mood.
Better antiretrovirals have likely mitigated HIV’s effects on the risk of end-stage liver disease and liver cancer in those with hep C.
Among people with hepatitis C virus (HCV), being coinfected with HIV is no longer associated with an increased risk of decompensated cirrhosis, also known as end-stage liver disease, or hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC, the most common form of liver cancer), aidsmap reports.
Past research indicated that HIV coinfection among those with HCV increased the risk of end-stage liver disease and liver cancer. But researchers believe that improved antiretroviral (ARV) treatment for HIV as well as higher rates of people on ARV treatment in recent years have mitigated these excess risks.
