Amazon bullshit ROUND TWO

so Gravity Rush inexplicably no longer ships outside of America, meaning that my lost shipment quite simply never made it out of the Amazon warehouse in Washington

the lady who called refunded me $46 for that, and asks me to re-order Lollipop Chainsaw (which I'll get for $35 off with free Priority Shipping, promising up and down it'll arrive this Friday), and I do so

 but wait

I already paid full price for Lollipop Chainsaw, discount or not, why am I reordering it?

I am immediately refunded like $51 something or other (I preordered when Amazon was offering a pre-release price drop) and apologized to profusely

I am glad(-ish) to have this settled and the woman who handled all this business was a million times more useful and friendly than anyone else (and is also the only support drone I've ever heard laugh during a call, which is a pleasant moment of humanity creeping through in a job that I can only imagine is hatefully mechanical) but why the fuck did I have to jump through hoops for this? if one of my items was inexplicably unshippable, this should've been explained and refunded long before the day after the delivery date.

Now I need to go and buy a new copy of Gravity Rush from an actual store, fortunate uptick being Futureshop has a buy two, get one free on for Vita games so I'm thinkin' maybe get Gravity Rush, MLB '12 and Unit 13.

so this is like the angriest I have ever been at the internet

so back in April I decided to preorder Lollipop Chainsaw and Gravity Rush from Amazon cuz they're like the only two games I was looking forward to all summer, went for Priority Shipping so I'd get 'em like the day after release and bop that shit out w/ disneyvsimaxtheaters over the weekend

 well they missed release date and shipped late, that kinda sucks, got a ten dollar gift  card for my trouble

then the shipment didn't seem to be actually going anywhere or getting tracked properly, and one of the customer service guys acted like a total ass, so I got my shipping refunded

flash forward to the delivery date and it doesn't show up. fire an e-mail and I find out that "tracking is only occasionally successful" and my package is probably irretrievably lost. They can send a replacement, but they CAN'T actually cuz immediately after I get that message, the same guy asks me to ignore all of what he said without clarifying what was up. This leads to me spending an hour on the live help chat explaining the troubled history of my order to a very friendly and straight-forward support guy who tells me that if it is really lost then they can't send a replacement till June 22nd (which means it won't actually arrive till at least the following Wednesday from there, making Priority Shipping utterly fucking worthless). He assures me there's probably just some wires being crossed somewhere along the way and to wait for the mail to show up the next day.

Ten A.M. this morning and a different department of Amazon's customer service calls my house to ask me if the mail has come. And no, god no, it doesn't come that early in Sydney. So the woman wants to send me a replacement, but then apparently there's some kind of ERROR (likely the aforementioned wait till the 22nd) and she says she will call me in half an hour and hangs up.

Never again am I preordering something that I can easily find in local stores, because marked up and drowning in sales tax though they may be, it beats having to deal with this goddamn bullshit.
