Whovians will need to be on their guard because the anti-woke reactionary mob are going to be pushing the narrative that Doctor Who’s viewing figures are tanking even though the reason for the lower viewing figures is because the episodes are being released on streaming first. We won’t know how successful Series 14/Season 1 will be until the BBC reveal their streaming figures.

To put it into context, The Church On Ruby Road received overnight ratings of 4.73 million viewers, whereas on BBC iPlayer the episode was streamed 10.1 million times. Do not let the bigots of social media control the narrative. Overnight ratings are no longer the benchmark of a successful show, and so far the RTD2 era of Doctor Who has been very successful.
