Matching movement is possibly the most basic kind of match cut. It’s exactly what it says. A panning motion in one room cuts or dissolves to panning in another room, suggesting a connection between the rooms. One of the most innovative part of the TV Series “Sherlock” is the transitions. Which employ the use of movement match cut, a process that connects the audience with Sherlock character experience his mind process.
