I love this beautiful image of @northernaesthetic playing his lyre, nestled between the fjords of Gudvangen, adorned in Midgaarb. . . Here he is wearing the new Warrior Coat in Steel Gray wool. All pieces are available in my shop in various colors - link in bio. I have been enjoying making so many new kits this season! . . Behind the scenes, my color palette has been slowly evolving. I am aiming to add some more ‘muted~earthy’ tones to my shop in linens and perhaps also wools. While I am scouting, I would love to know what colors you would like to see me offer that I don’t already - since I am making garments for you, your feedback means everything and is very helpful! This also means as some new colors are called to me, some of my old colors may become discontinued. So if you had your heart set on a color I offer, I would suggest snagging it sooner rather then later! . . Today is my birthday, and I'm happy to say that I'm heading into my 25th year like a force. Just added 13 replica bead designs to the shop based on Birka findings! I am also lucky enough to own a few Birka beads found in Essex and was able to get some up close details to recreate these beads as close to the originals as possible. Fun fact there is written evidence from a traveling merchant that claims the norse people had laws in place stating that a single green bead was worth at least one silver coin! Also beads were worn by men and women alike, because it was a light weight currency you could easily travel with a lot of beads. Easily carried in your pouch or dangling from your belt or turtle brooches in the traditional fashion. It has been a gendered stigma for a long time that only women carried beads luckily to modern technology, its been discovered tons of viking age graves equally male, female and children commonly had beads with them.
