It was overwhelming to receive feelings scribbled in words, wrapped with love from a 8 years old 'Amolika’❤️ I met her during my field visit in MITRAON village. Under 'Swachhta’ initiative VAPUSI we have now also introduced "Scrabble Workshop” for the young kids in the Library-Cum-Collective Reading Room, where it was a fun exercise sharing beautiful moments with these young innocent hearts and becoming a child again. “An encouragement to believe- not in her ability to create change, but in yours......inspite.......she will press on”. Working on “Swachhta initiative” for our “Village Adoption Program ”, pioneered by IIT Delhi Alumni Association. It was a great honour for me to address the residents of Pahari, Dungarwas village and Rewari districts which was also joined by over 10 Sarpanch’s of neighbouring villages. Speaking directly with members of the female population. I impressed upon them the need for ; awareness in female sanitation and in particular “Menstural hygiene”, 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao', “Plantation of trees” and positive participation of females in the scheduled works. Everyone has a right to health and education. Awareness campaign for “Swacchta Initiative” under Village Adoption Program @iitdaa was a huge success. The event was attended by guests such as HNI’s, academia and local members of the legislative body. Honoured and humbled to address the members of IIT Delhi Alumni Association, their honoured guests and the members of the student body. People attending this congregation represented the diverse socio-economic and cultural base of the country. As a ‘Brand Ambassador’ associated with “Swacchta initiative” constituted by IITDAA. I with my entire team have taken pledge to work for social causes in rural areas of India. It is the little drops of water that make the mighty ocean. Every person can make a difference to the society if they have the will to do so. You need not donate millions of dollars to feed the hungry or do some heroic act in order to make a difference. Remember....One tree alone absorbs nearly a ton of carbon dioxide during its life time, so by planting a seed today, you will keep contributing to the society. Believe me, the satisfaction and pride that comes from helping others can be life changing. Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great and WE can be that great generation. My heartfelt gratitude to Asmita Theatre Group for an historic play “Court Martial“ which will be immortal in our heart and soul🙏 Jai Hind.....
