Happy trans day if visibility! This is a very special announcement to recognize the intersex trans people out there! Give a hug and also $100000 to your local intersex trans person today!!
Real transfeminists love all trans people btw. Regardless of their gender, sex, presentation, status of transistion, or otherwise. It is not transfeminism if you reject any trans person on the basis of any of these characteristics.
With rampant transmisogyny becoming worse by the day both on this website and in many countries all around the world, you need to look out for Black and Brown transfems more than ever right now. Be kind, be patient, be helpful, and most importantly, be a transfeminist.
If you do not support anyone identifying with any gender identity they wish regardless of assigned sex at birth (i.e. transfems and transmascs of any agab, xtm, xtf, etc) then I am unapologetic to say that your beliefs are exorsexist, intersexist, patriarchal, and anti-transfeminist. Support all trans and intersex people with your whole heart!!!! There are no exceptions to this, celebrate queer life, queer joy, and queer identity and fight to preserve it!!!
I'm a transfeminist in the sense that I want gender and sex binaries to be abolished and I love and support all trans people and everyone should get to talk about the bigotry and systemic violence they face, but I am ALSO a transfeminist in the sense that some of you are way too anti-kink and I will not be tolerating anyone who demonizes trans people for engaging with sex and sexuality in a way that is not materially harming anyone such as writing fiction or engaging in roleplay with other consenting adults.
If I had known there were more people like me when I was in high school I would have been a much happier person. Other people who were in health class looking at diagrams of genitals and just being confused because neither of them looked like yours. Other people who had been raised as a boy and had a masculine name and had people use he/him, only once I had hit puberty to have had that suddenly flipped on its head and have people use she/her and call me by a different name and been made to dress in different clothes. Other people with voices that didn't go deep but didn't stay high either. Other people who had to change in a private bathroom in school because everyone would oggle and whisper in the locker roome. I wish I knew about other people whose parents had made them take androgenizing hormones for years in an attempt to make them "normal". I wish I knew about other people like me before just this past summer. It would have explained so much, made me feel so much safer, and made me understand so much better. I am intersex. I don't really feel like I am any gender at all, but I still align myself with transfemininity because of the experiences I have had in my life. I'm still on estrogen and progesterone and T blockers (by choice), I am still doing voice feminization training, and most important I am still transfem cause I identify as such and there is no prerequisite for who can and can't be transfem. Try to make an intersex transfem smile and feel seen today. Remember: the trans community and the intersex community is built on understanding, support, kindness, and resistance. Understand one another, support one another, be kind to one another, and resist oppression, colonialism, fascism, imperialism, and patriarchy. I hope you have a good day/night and remember to take care of yourself!!
Thank you all so much for 200 followers <3 really really love the support on this blog and I wanted to remind everyone to do something you enjoy, take care of yourself, talk to a friend, get up a stretch if you haven't in a while, eat something if you haven't, drink some water, go outside if you're able and get a breath of fresh air even if only for a little bit, and remember to make an intersex person smile today if you can :] hope you all have a lovely day/night!!
Thank you so much for 100 followers everyone!! I know it isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but I didn't think this blog would become such a hit with so many people so quickly! I hope you continue to enjoy the intersex and trans posting I put out in the future :)
