I don't think I've seen you write about these terrifying lads that i just learned about today: Flightless bat flies?? They're a true fly but they look like a demented antlion and loiter on bats oh so rudely. I feel like you'd be one to appreciate these creatures.
Oh I’ve written about both kinds of them but will probably write about them again for Flydays.There’s a BUNCH of bat flies in the Hippoboscid group, which are just bloodsucking parasites, but there’s an UNRELATED group of flightless bat flies in New Zealand, convergent evolution, who feed only on guano instead of blood and have a social structure in which older males guard over the larvae and even emit a high frequency sound that tells their bat symbiotes not to fly into their nest.

@vine-st Oh hell yeah, having a stone edge that always hits would be even deadlier when you can actually hit flying types with it I sorta made echolocation with the idea that it could also be "retconned" onto the zubat and noibat lines, which use echolocation in their flavor text, but don't have any moves or anything that utilize it, except, like, supersonic...

If your firmware’s before 11.3 I highly recommend soft modding it. The blagh way to go about things would be to use something like jksm to back up and restore cart saves. The easier way to go about things is something easy enough to do but I’m not sure I can recommend it because legal repercussions. Still I think about all the money taken or destroyed by the parent company taking down fair use videos and feel little moral issues with doing the supposedly immoral thing that doesn’t really equate to anything if you aren’t giving money to the producers anyways on account of not having it

I checked my firmware and unfortunately I’m at 11.3.0.36U or something, but it looks like you can hack it at that firmware. Confirmed by smea.
It’s an idea and a half and means I could edit my town to how I please, too. I saw stuff about editing ACNL when I was looking up some other things.
I’ll probably look into it more in the next couple days when I have some free time. Setting up my town exactly how I want would be really cool and fun (and probably leave me VERY indecisive over stuff).
Right now I’m fucking tired and have to go to sleep so I can help my family finish painting the house tomorrow or whenever.
