I want to learn more about Vine/Marrow!! Idk if it's already been asked but what would their ideal day out be like? Is it spending time at the park with their kid or shopping for clothes, snacks, etc.?

Hi - I don't think anything has been asked about Vine/Marrow yet... you must first know that they are one of my all-time OTPs and though I have a very developed set of headcanons on them, a lot are contingent on AUs and other things since I imagine in canon their relationship was never allowed to be very much before ( tragic spoiler event) .... but assuming this is in one of my AUs + they have the free time to do it I think here are a few things they would do on a day off...

-I think that if they are still Operatives / in the military a shared day off would mostly be spent indoors -- since they'd so rarely get the time I think it would be a big 'sitting in someone's place and getting food and talking and relaxing' day. If Moss exists she would of course share in these festivities as well....

-I think Marrow is a gamer and I think Vine likes to sit and watch him play even though he's never touched a video game in his life. I think he does competitive online stuff but also singleplayer. He is a console gamer. Moss will watch him play dark souls III.

-Vine and Marrow ( imo ) have a lot of differences in energy level/tolerance of like.. doing stuff in public HAHA I think Marrow could handle - for example - a big crowded day at the zoo with no problem but Vine might be wiped out by it so I think they'd do a lot of 'in between' stuff -- but I imagine Moss has her dad's energy levels so she would love the zoo.

-Like a park would be good... hiking. Lots of more 'intense' outdoors stuff. I think them hiking and camping is really cute especially with Moss. Without her I could see them doing rock climbing and other things that are more athletic. The idea of like extreme wilderness camping is SO cute to me -- them sharing one of those really small sleeping tents and cuddling to keep warm and everything + getting up early in the morning and making campfire coffee is so cute.

-I don't imagine they shop for fun a lot but grocery trips and other necessities exist which they'd both do... unless it's an AU close to canon where they just live in Atlas and probably have stuff delivered LOL. Ace Ops probably make a lot of money but I like to project a boring normal adult life onto them too sometimes.

If you read all this, thanks. I know they seem from the outside like some gag crackship but they mean a lot to me + I have so so much for both of them in my brain.

For your ship asks, I'd love to hear some Vine x Marrow and/or Raven x Glynda headcanons 💕

OK well... You opened the OTP box... I will keep it brief with both of these so I don't bore every single person that reads to death but I could go on about both of these ships for millennia.

VINEMARROW -

-They fell for one another over a few years of being on the Ops together -- they didn't go to Atlas together or anything since Vine is a little older, and they didn't really know much of one another until they worked together.

-It was both fast and slow. A lot of longing + obviously it is against the team's principles to even get too /friendly/ let alone anything more, especially with the team shaken by a recent loss etc etc... so neither of them knew the other had any feelings for a really long time.

-I imagine a lot of small things.. excuses to go on missions together, lots of sparring, etc.. any excuse to make any kind of contact. Like the worst longing of any rwby ship ever.

-Since Vine is typically so inexpressive and good at hiding his feelings Marrow knew really quickly that something was up though... like Vine laughing at his stupid jokes and Marrow is like, okay Vine has literally never laughed at anything before. I think he likes me.

-I have a whole AU where Vine survives / v7+8 are different and they have a kid together and then get married. Her name is Moss and she is my everything + she is their everything also. There is so much more to all of this but it's already getting too long sorry.

-Marrow's mom ( who we also have an OC for ) loves Vine so much. I think she is a big part of Marrow's personal life and she adores Vine. OK sorry stopping myself before I keep going. I am literally carrying vinemarrow on my shoulders forever.

GLYNDARAVEN -

-Went to Beacon together....you can imagine their dynamic. Glynda being so annoyed that she works so hard to be a good student + STRQ getting special treatment isn't lost on her, so she has a really heavy rivalry with all of them, Raven especially. She won't think about why though.

-Lots of frustration on both ends but despite it they start to get close... late night studying together for exams..competing on missions... getting coffee at midnight in the library...shoulder-checking eachother in the halls and then blushing about it... imagine it.

-Finally during Beacon's dance during the Vytal festival in their final year Glynda confronts Raven outside and kisses her... Raven kisses her back and then shoves her away and they don't speak again.

-It's years and years and they go on their separate paths -- first Raven working for Ozpin, then the mission with Summer, then Raven's fleeing. Glynda stays at Beacon as a professor and then as headmistress, working alongside Ozpin, and she starts receiving letters....

-I think they both miss eachother so painfully and despite their clashing ideals they cant stay away from one another. Glynda and Raven are both so so intelligent that neither of them can get the best of the other in a debate; they're the only ones that feel like they're enough to handle each other and it's true... they have a lot of angst and also can be so cute I think. I could talk about them for years they are so underrated. I think Glynda could have fixed Raven

-Raven coming to Glynda's window at night and Glynda shoos her away but relents and lets her in and they hold each other and cry.

OK this is so long sorry. I can not emphasize the amount of thoughts I have about both of these ships but I kept it as small as I could sorry. (runs away)
