#LouisMMartini has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. The standard #SonomaCoast is pretty exceptional if you consider it only costs $10.99 at my local. It's a solid 25$ value and has everything that new #Wine drinkers need to experience in a #California #cabernetsauvignon. This one however has always been my little secret. Skip the #NapaValley bottling and come straight for the #Alexander. Don't be fooled by the zip code. This is the quintessential sleeping giant and it carries a price tag under 40$. This 2013 #vintage is full of black berry and black currants. There is graphite and forest floor. There are wisps of smoke from the oak barrels, and there is dark chocolate and creamy vanilla in the finish. If I had one gripe, it's that the finish doesn't quite last long enough. Unfortunately #RobertParker let the cat out of the bag. He rated the new 2014 vintage at 97 points and it's still under 40 bones for now.
