Okay but seriously the movie has the goal to show us that Violet should let go Gilbert and realize that Diedrich loves her, right??
I mean even her friends talk how Diedrich could help her to forget Gilbert and then her last letter to Gilbert. Yes, she loved Gilbert. Maybe she even still loves him but they both changed so much and in all these times Diedrich was there for here.
Maybe it is only one-sided but I'm sure Diedrich loves her and I think he is the better man for this new Violet.
