In the Six of Crows duology the main country the story happens in is Kerch with Ketterdam as its capitol. The author described it as “heavily influenced by the Dutch Republic of the 1700s, but it’s also got a little New York (New Amsterdam), Las Vegas, and Victorian London mixed in there.” The first book also spends a good deal of time in the country of Fjerda which was inspired by Scandinavia and her previous book series (same universe, different story) is in Ravka which is inspired by Tsarist Russia.

@jbarnes My first impression was when I saw “sin” i was like “This is gonna be good.” and then i was like “yes, it was good, look at all the seb,” so in conclusion i love it and all the posts.
