Reunion
"Ok, I think I heard you wrong. Tell me the plan again."
"There is a gemstone in that rock, and I'm going to try and explode the rock in a way that I will hopefully get the gem out without killing anyone. "
"I think you will kill someone."
Trin and Jinx were at an abandoned street in Seabrook, where Jinx was attempting to get a gemstone out of a rock using her explosive powers, in the secluded area. She'd seen a really pretty bracelet in a shop, so now, she was going to try and make one for herself.
"Can't you just buy one from a jeweller's shop or something?" Trin asked
"Nah, not really . First, they're too expensive. Also, it's more fun if I made the bracelet instead." Jinx retorted.
"Fine, let's just get this over and done with, without killing anyone please." Trin murmered.
---3 Futile attempts later---
"FINALLY, ok, did it, let's go." Jinx told Trin
"You need to attach it to the chain before we lose it! C'mon, hurry up!"
"Waitt...ok done! "
Trin and Jinx left the secluded area and both walked to their homes. For Jinx, there was an early suprise waiting for her at home.
When Jinx finally arrived at her house, there was a car, which was certainly not any of her parents', infact it was more of a....taxi?
Jinx approached the car slowly, saying, "Excuse me, but-"
She was cut off by the figure of her older sister, Violet Carter, hugging her, and so tight, as if she'd never let go. Jinx hugged back, so confused, but extremely happy.
It felt like centuries when they let go, the 1st thing Jinx said was, or rather asked,
"Vi, I thought- why didn't you tell me and-"
"I was, but then I decided to suprise you and mom and dad, and that's why I didn't tell you, or anyone for that matter. Does that answer all your questions Powder Jinx?" Violet replied.
Jinx nodded her head vigorously.
"Violet.....is that you...?" Their mom had returned from the grocery store, with shopping bags in her hands.
"Here mom, I'll help you with those. " Violet got her second suffocating hug of that day..
"Oh my goodness Violet, I didn't know-" Mrs. Mclean's eyes were filled with such happy tears, and a smile bigger than Jinx had seen in a long time.
"No one knew, Mom." Vi interjected.
"Oh dear, I wish I could spend the entire day with you..."
"Mom, where are you going?" Jinx questioned.
"I have an important event to attend this evening today, I don't think I'll be back till quite late." Mrs. Mclean deadpanned.
"It's fine Mom, when you come back, we can have a movie night with Dad." Jinx resolved.
"Yes...that is a good idea, Jinx. And you two can spend some quality time with each other, but first, you have to make sure to do all your chores. Violet, if you don't mind, please help Jinx with her chores."
Vi smiled politely at her mother, "Of course, Mom."
"Ok, I'll see you both in a few hours, love you both!" With that, their mom got in the car and drove out onto the road.
"So let's get these chores done, right?" Vi reminded her sister.
"Right" Jinx agreed.
Jinx had just started to do the first thing on the list, when Vi stopped her short.
"Jinx, there's a much faster way to do that. It's a technique I learned from my boxing. Here, I'll show you. " Violet demonstrated.
Jinx, incredibly impressed, tried it out, and in less than 10 minutes, she was done!
"Woow, that's so cool, can you show me more?" Jinx pleaded.
"Sure, let's do it out on the backyard." Violet led her onto the yard, where she showed some easy basics.
"Like this, right Vi?" Jinx asked her sister.
"Vi?" When her sister didn't reply, Jinx looked up to see her sister staring longingly at a necklace in a glass window of a store.
"Vi....is something wrong??"
Her sis immediately snapped back to reality, "Sorry Jinx, that necklace is just so pretty...."
Jinx stared at her sister's face for some time before getting a thought.
Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the bracelet she had made before for herself, with the intention of giving it to her older sister.
"Here Vi, this is a bracelet, made with a real gemstone. I want you to have it."Jinx handed the bracelet to her older sister.
Vi took it, admiring its beauty. "Oh my god.....it's so pretty...how did you even- you know what, I'm not even going to ask...... Can...can I really have it, like really have it?"
"Of course, you're my sister!" Jinx smiled at her sister's face.
Vi threw her arms around Jinx and hugged her just as tight when she saw her. "OH MY GOD, YOU'RE THE BEST SISTER EVER. LIKE, LITERALLY THE BEST SISTER EVER AND-"
"Woah there, big sister, take it easy, "Jinx teased. "But you're right, I am."
---Half an hour later of boxing---
Vi and Jinx were relaxing on the couch, talking to each other.
"-and that's why he likes it." Vi finished telling Jinx about her years with Nick.
"Well, that sounds like a lot. "
"Were you even listening?" Vi asked.
"No, not really.", Jinx confessed, "I'm just too happy already that you're here, and, I mean, did you see Mom's face? She was so happy.."
"Didn't know I was that important" Vi giggled.
Jinx rolled her eyes, "But seriously tho, I really missed you Vi."
Violet didn't cry, she only smiled wider, (if that was even possible, lmao), "I missed you too, Jinx, my sappy sister."
They stayed like that for a few minutes until they heard the sound of a car entering the driveway.
"Jinx, Mom's back." Vi told her sis.
"Cool"
They watched their mom come out of the car....until Violet realized something.
Violet: "Jinx, weren't we supposed to finish the chores before Mom came back?"
Jinx: ".........run Vi."
(Note: Jinx Mclean and Violet Carter belong to @bejeweled-wahlberg . This is a reunion on how Vi meets and reunites with Jinx again.)
