Near the end of the Holiday event several Free World players (Myself included) gathered around the massive Christmas cracker and attempted to set it on fire.

The ‘protest’ began when each of us opened our reward crates and discovered the items we received required memberships to use.  This has become a reoccurring thing lately with Runescapes events.  Free players shell out more time and effort to these events than any Members ever will, yet all we get for our time investments is a slap to the face and a reminder that 99% of the game’s contents is still off limits to us.  Jagex NEEDS to establish separate loot tables for free and member players for these events we’re tired of being punched in the gut every time and being told we should be grateful for it.

A while back a ship was to be named and, being good sports, they decided to let the public name the boat via a poll.

Time for my much delayed (as in only a couple of days) review of Violet is Blue!

It’s good, I liked it, the jokes were amusing. So far one of the best quests released since I came back to runescape. I also liked the post-quest content and dialog. 

Only weak point was the start of the quest because a) dodging moving target in runescape sucks because input lag, and b) the hit detection of those snowballs was BS, sometimes they wouldn’t hit me, but the game said they did, sometimes i’d go right through the center of one and the game wouldn’t notice. Other than that though I liked the puzzles, the voice acting wasn’t terrible (raaawwwrrr) and over all it was a fun short but sweet quest!

However it gets minus 100000 points because although you gain construction xp from making the snowmen, you do not gain any for making the sled.
