jd: schroeder (he goes by brahms instead of his name)

martha: charlie

kindergarten girlfriend (separate character who moved away): heather

kurt and ram: peppermint patty and marcie

heather chandler: violet

heather duke: frieda

heather mcnamara: patty

vaguely based on dsg but we don’t talk about it. i’m planning on drawing big fun w frieda and lucy, fight for me with pep patty, schroeder, and lucy, and then kindergarten bf with charlie and heather soon.

The main characters of Peanuts in Christmas of 1951. In their first real year, they had just these six characters. Shermy, Patty, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Violet and Schroder. Schroder is the baby of the group, both in literal in-comic age and in his actual debut. I don't actually mind that, because he's an adorable baby.

I don't know when the next new character shows up in the book, actually. I think there's at least a good few years wherein it's just these six. And although I do love the 60s and 70s comic cast, I like these six too. Also, can I just say it's adorable how baby schroder is just carrying his piano and charlie brown leads his little sled. Really, this whole thing is heartwarming.
