Pip: [gestures at his friend to demonstrate success] Let’s do another. Say Bat!

3: bat!

Pip: skit! [I’m wondering where this is going now...]

3: skit!

Pip: ball!

Pip: now say it fast!

Pip: Bat... Skit... Baaaaaaat Skiiiiiiiit ... ... ball! Basketball!

3: basketball!

Pip: very good job. Now we can play soccer.

Glad his little friend was so agreeable for that exchange. Also, I think Pip might be paying more attention to the English classes I teach online than I thought.

getting freaked out about this again. i know little to none about teaching esl and i’m not very peppy and i don’t know what kind of props i’d even use and my webcam is absolute garbage and my furniture is limited and my roommate has a bird that screams and i’m so nervous and anxious.

but i would like to get tesol certified some day so i guess this is as good a place to start as any.

I am beyond happy with my current job and thought I’d share the opportunity with others. I’m working as an ESL/TESOL teacher with VIPKID! if anyone is interested in a side hustle job teaching ESL to students in China send me a message and I can tell you more... you make your own schedule, interact with cute kids, and the pay is v good. i’ve been working here now for about two months and it’s been awesome! :)
