- “Virgin Snow”
I decided to star in “Fly, Daddy, Fly” while working on “King and the Clown,” so “Virgin Snow” was actually the first project I chose after finishing “King and the Clown.”
I played Kim Min, a playful and outgoing high school student, opposite famous Japanese actress Miyazaki Aoi. This movie is the story of a sweet first love and also a Korea-Japan film co-production, so it attracted a lot of public attention.
Maybe because I am so eager and enthusiastic, I really want to meet as many moviegoers as possible. Not just because I wanted to work internationally, but I thought I was making a sort of investment for the future. Also, I wanted to work with people in the film industry from various other countries.
Come to think of it, I’ve played a high school student in three consecutive projects. Each project was a challenge, so I have constantly taken on challenge after challenge.
Many people in the entertainment industry asked me, “Why don’t you take it easy and recycle the same image you have, why would you want to change yourself and keep taking on challenges?” Every time I was asked that, I thought, I’m still young.
It’s always been my belief that it is more important for young actors to constantly gain more experience, instead of choosing the safe and easy path and being just content. And that still remains my credo.

Happy 12th Anniversary Virgin Snow! I absolutely love love love this sweet movie about two precious people with different cultural backgrounds and language barriers finding love with each other. This is a day late, but I did not want to rush this. I wanted to spend as much time as possible on it. So here are Kim Min and his beautiful Nanae enjoying their date back together again in the first snow! ღ'ᴗ'ღ
I was sick, but had to get out of the house for a spell. Needed some fresh air. So I put on my long johns and my Norwegian surplus army trousers in homespun wool, and my wool leg warmers (these of Swedish army make), and I braved the snow and faced the fog.
It felt great, but I didn’t, so it was just a short trip.
Used this on my hair yesterday
Dyeing my hair. Talk to me.
