Last day of mermay! It was a fun challenge and I’m surprised I was able to keep up, even if I started just doing black and white at the end. And now I feel like I can draw mermaids a little better now!

I tried drawing Vistina for the last day but I still can’t draw my girl how I picture her *flops*

Okay, so I’ve reblogged a lot of OC asks...and I think I found the right one...but I’m using this one just cause I’ve reblogged too many haha xD

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

Ohhh, I feel like Senith gets scared fairly easily, and he can be jumpy at times when he’s out of his element. But I feel like there is a fear that is deeper, not really a “I’m scared of this monster out there” and more of a personal fear of what other people think of him? Also kind of a betrayal which is more hurt than fear...but let’s just say he is scared he will never be truly forgiven or reformed, that he will mess up again, and I think that’s what scares him the most - being tricked into believing the wrong thing again, or hurting those he has come to care about.   

23. What does your character dislike in other people?

I feel like this might change over the course of the story...but right now... He doesn’t like it when people disagree with him, or act like know-it-alls (even though he acts that way sometimes pfft xD)

27. How does your character normally deal with confrontation?

Not well, depending on the situation at least. She wants to do her own thing because it’s always worked for her and it’s what she is comfortable with, and she does NOT back down, so depending on who confronts her, it can turn into a yelling match fairly quickly. Whereas, if someone is more patient with her she may be take it a little better. Also, if she realizes she is wrong she will usually growl and walk away, or just stop talking...or maybe change the subject...sometimes she might continue to stand up for what she believed even if she sees the other person’s side, because she doesn’t like backing down.  

20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?

Hmmm, I feel like Llira is a little prideful, she likes to think of how she at least she isn’t like that. Granted, she doesn’t voice these things, she tries to see everyone as a person, but she can’t help but compare how she would be reacting/dealing with things differently than someone else. 

33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

She’s pretty willing to improve. While she is proud, she also knows she needs to work on herself to get better, and that she isn’t perfect. Though if she is really proud of something she has done she may get a little defensive.

I have three main stories so….I’ll try to do for all of them maybe?? xD

❤️: What’s the working title? 

-A Forgotten Life (this has got to change it’s so boring hnnnng)

-Glitter and Fire

-Not By Blood

💛: What is the title based on?

A Forgotten Life: The main character loses her memory, so…she doesn’t like remember anything, pretty self explanatory and a very boring title created by a 15 year old me xD

Glitter and Fire: The “powers” of the main characters…in a sense at least

Not by Blood: It’s about two characters who kind of become brothers, but they aren’t related by blood (this title was actually for my Star Wars OCs, but…it works for both and I wouldn’t be able to publish the other one so?)

💔: Give a brief character bio of your 3-5 MCs

A lot of these characters…actually all of them, still need work but…I’m working with what I have *shrugs*

A Forgotten Life 

-Elisda is very much a peace keeper, she doesn’t like conflict and trusts a little too easily. She’s pretty adventurous, but that doesn’t stop her from being wary of things she doesn’t understand/hasn’t been around. Because of how she grew up, she’s a little used to…nicer things, so despite being gungho about nature, she’s not always comfortable with it.

-Senith is suave and charming. He’s very confident, at least as a front and just radiates cool and in control. Underneath all of that he…has issues, and has to overcome a lot of those issues and uncertainties… 

-Vistina is very distrustful, a bit of a loner. She gets along with horses and other animals better than humans and would much rather just stick with animals. But she has seen her fair share of jerks and wants to protect others from said jerks so…she’ll get over her antisocial tendencies to do so.  

Glitter and Fire

- Fire Girl (I legit have no name for her yet…) is very resourceful and a bit sassy. She loves her powers (fire powers obviously) and loves to experiment with them. She holds grudges, a lot and will do anything to accomplish her mission and get back at those who hurt her. But she also has a playful side, which comes out around Glitter Boy. “Just Like Fire” also kind of fits her a bit…

-Glitter Boy is a bit of a dork. He’s a follower for sure, and has to face his fears a lot, mainly of being a rebel/breaking the law. Chemistry is his forte, he’s super comfortable in a lab and that’s where he prefers to be, but he gets dragged on missions and he does so semi-willingly, both to help the cause and cause he has a not so subtle crush on Fire Girl.

- Livy (who I’m still trying to figure out fits in but…) is a very timid girl. She HATES her powers and is terrified of them, never wanting to use them. If she had it her way, she would just draw and paint and never think about superpowers ever again but…unfortunately her life doesn’t play out quite like that… 

Not by Blood

- At first glance, Kor (WIP name) looks very intimidating, a kind of brooding/emo boy, but that’s honestly just how the king wants him to look. If you get to know him you find he’s actually…pretty nice, aside from the occasional comments that he could kill you at any second, all while stealing your wallet. And if you are his friend, you will see even more of his kind nature, he is very protective of those he cares about, and he never wants anyone to really know what he’s done in his past, because he’s very ashamed of it all. 

-Cy is a precious lil cinnamon roll. He’s pretty quiet and intuitive, very much an observant boi who wants to please others. His quiet nature is somewhat related to his past, and also just a general lack of self confidence. It’s hard for him to stand up for himself (Kor usually has that covered though…) but some things can set him off and he can be quite stubborn too. He also doesn’t shy away from hard work and will work (aka read a bunch of books) if it’s important.

4. Has a dysfunctional family

Probably Llira, she’s got a huge family and they can be kind of overwhelming/strange to people that don’t know them but they are the nicest family tbh

6. Will give you the middle finger

I actually thought of a few...my first thought was Andrew Wheeler because he’s just got the sass for miles, but Vistina totally would and Alek probably would too, there might be more but those are the ones that I know would 100% do so...oh and Fire Girl xD

8. Can kill you with a pencil

I was trying to think, but then I answered the next question and I realized Kor probably could if he had to...also Fire Girl totally could if she needed too though she’s rather use her fire

10. Looks like they will murder you but is a sweetheart

I’m not sure...I feel like maybe Kor (his name will probably change), because he like...actually kills people but he only does it when he has to so...he might look like he could kill you and he can but...he really doesn’t want to and is honestly super sweet

12. Wants to run away from everything

14. Owns a motorcycle

I was going to say Fire Girl again (cause she could totally pull it off) but I’m going to go with Rizco because he would totally own a speeder (the star wars version of a motorcycle right? xD) because it’s cheaper than a car and it’s easier to get around on and what-not
