The Minister Gets Stood Up ....

On 12/27 I received a call from someone looking for a Justice of the Peace for a marriage 01/04. The couple was going to walk into City Hall, get the license, get married right there, and walk out of City Hall as a married couple.

So, this morning I got up early, waxed my mustache and even PUT ON A TIE and went to City Hall - no one had been in yet to get a marriage license. After waiting about 20 minutes, I called the number and left a message. About 40 minutes later, I got a call back that ‘plans had been changed’ - they were going to get married this afternoon by their pastor - they forgot to tell me. So, I reminded them that no matter who or what - they still need to get a license to get married. They I left City Hall.

Too bad - this would have been fun.

Page 9. ----- Ontario Got Largest Share Last Year With Total of 9,312 ---- OTTAWA, Feb. 7— A continued falling off in immigration to Canada in 1933 brought the total for the calendar year down to 20,591 as compared with 37,530 the previous year. United States supplied the bulk of these immigrants, 13,709 while 3,327 came from the British Isles. Northern European races made up 909 of the remainder and all other races 2,646. 

In addition to these Immigrants, the population was increased by the return or 18,220 Canadians who returned from United Slates. 

Immigration from the British Isles decreased $7 per cent as compared with the previous year while from United States the drop was only 10 per cent from Northern Europe 31 per cent and other countries 21 per cent, an average 25 per cent decrease. 

Ontario got the largest share of immigrants, with a total of 9,312, the others being distributed as follows: Quebec, 4,134; British Columbia, 1,950; Alberta 1,692; Saskatchewan 971; Nova Scotia, 916; Manitoba, 757; New Brunswick 646; Prince Edward Island, 300; Yukon Territory, 10 and Northwest Territories, 3.

Species: Faiize, a gengineered version of the non-cogniscent, sluglike 'cleaners' with some massive feature creep and consequent legal battle in regards to their concealed-until-undeniable cogniscence. Each Faiize is named by a computer, using a random collection of phonic elements.

Gender Identity: Male.

Actual Gender: Unknown. It's an industry secret and part of the continuing lawsuit.

Occupation: JOAT - Jack/Jill/Jharren Of All Trades.

Familial Relationships: Though his makers are a corporation called Wave of the Future, he does not consider any of his B'Dauss gengineers to be his parents nor his deities. It's hard to Believe in anyone once you've seen them wandering around in last week's coffee stains with their fly undone. Rael does count his test-creche siblings as actual siblings. Successive generations count as niblings[1]. He finds the rest of his family as time goes by.

Platonic Relationships: Has befriended several people on Amalgam Station including Nik the Gyiik, Ambassador Shayde, and Aunty Fan-Fan.

Semi-regular Employment with the Ambassadorial Aides Service, and Security, for keeping Shayde out of trouble. He's not always successful.
