Room 306 | Charley & Kristijan
Kristijan was not a fan of big events like this one. In fact, he avoided them in general. But tonight, he had decided to accept the invitation to the Aria’s opening night. He knew that he would probably end up drinking alone at a table, but at least he would be doing something, instead of staying at home or at the club to work.
It was not very hard for him to find a suit for the night. His wardrobe consisted mainly of them, after all. He picked a pale grey tuxedo with matching pants, matched with a Patek Philippe watch, one of his favourites. He loved flaunting his money when he went out in public, and was there really a better way to show that he was rich other than wearing a wrist watch worth more than the average house in Las Vegas? He didn’t think so.
When he arrived at the casino, Kristijan directly headed to the bar, and noticed two familiar faces in the room. One was the whore Tom had brought with him on their last meeting, when things had taken a very fun twist and the other was obviously Tom Byers, who coincidentally had not paid him yet. The Serbian man knew that it was probably the best timing for him to remind the other man that he owed him money. Pulling out his phone from his suit’s pocket, he searched through the saved numbers and quickly found Byers’ number. He dialed it, and looked at the man as he reacted to his phone ringing. Kristijan stepped back into the crowded room, making sure he would not be seen. “Hello, Mr. Byers. I heard you are at the Aria tonight. In fact, I heard you were there with a lady.” He paused, grinning mischievously. “So you cannot pay me, but you can afford to pay yourself a whore? This is not acceptable.” He stopped again, and looked at the door. “I’m going to text you a room number, meet me there.” He ordered, before turning off his phone. Now, he really hoped that there would be a free room. It was the most private place where they could talk freely, and it could always be useful later. He walked out of the room, and went back to the hall, where he noticed the busy employees taking reservations for the opening night and knew he was at the right place. The young woman in front of him finally gave his room key, and he walked away, reaching for his phone again.
KRISTIJAN: Room 306. I am waiting for you.
He walked inside the elevator and pressed the button to the third floor, before heading to the mysterious room 306. When he entered the hotel room, he was slightly disappointed. The room was decent, but he had seen a lot better. But he had also seen a lot worse too. He sat on the living chair and waited for the man to knock at his door.
