“Swear it! Promise me you won’t!” She shouted as loud as she could, her crimson eyes wide with rage and glowing with tremendous power, something the immortal had never seen from this woman before. “If you don’t—”

“Nngh!” Her face contorted into a grimace as her empty hand swiftly rose to clutch her throbbing head. Her entire body trembled for a moment as it endured the sharp pain that emanated from within her skull. Grunts escaped between clenched teeth as she struggled to not succumb to the pain and release her grip on the girl.

Labored breaths would give way to heavy gasps as the pain finally subsided. As her breathing returned to normal, she opened her eyes again, the glow in them having abruptly faded with the sudden onset of intense pain. Crimson hues reflected a deeper pain than what was experienced physically, almost as if she felt regret for what she had done and apprehension for what she was about to do. Eyes cast to the ground, she’d hesitate for but a moment, before she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, reaffirming her convictions.

Eyes as sharp as daggers shot a piercing glare into the immortal as her grip tightened. “...If you won’t...” She said lowly, practically a snarl as she released her head and pulled her palm away from her face. Crimson hues began to glow, faintly at first, but growing ever stronger with each passing moment. Her empty hand turned towards the girl, fingers spread, as black and red wisps rose off her skin, amassing around her hand, cloaking it in swirling magic. Like a vortex—a deep pooling of charged energy—the aura came to life, barely contained within the space it occupied. The wispy tendrils of magic moved about erratically, almost as if the energy itself was alive. Staring into the mass of black and red, one would almost feel as if something was staring back, peering into you with unblinking eyes. Like a predator eying its prey, ready to strike at any moment, to encroach upon the immortal mercilessly and devour her whole. The energy shuddered, as if in anticipation of what was to come.

“Then I’ll make sure that you can’t.”

"---What will you do?" She asked with a terse tonw of voice. Eyes narrowing, almost squinting yet with a relaxed body language. "Once *she* finds a new toy to play with. Once you are broken to no avail, even moreso than you believe to be now... what will you do once she discards you for a new one...?"

Rea doesn’t answer at first, simply glaring back at her openly, evidently displeased by the line of questioning given. Their arms fold, letting out a small sigh, already having punched their gratuitous murder chip for the day. Not that they could have killed Eli if they tried, regardless.

*( Who knows? Maybe I’ll go mad with jealousy and take revenge on her new fling. Maybe I’ll fall into a lovesick despair like no other. Maybe I’ll sic Reus on her and her merry band of freakshows -- Maybe I’ll just get over it. That’s chaos for you; if I could predict it, I wouldn’t be what I am. )

Their gaze doesn’t break from Eli’s throughout their entire spiel of hypotheticals, although it seems to get more and more unreadable throughout their speech, less of an obvious glare of distaste. Rea’s arms unfold, falling to their side with a haphazard shrug, coupled with a dry laugh.

*( Tell me this, then; what did you do? From what I’m seeing, you’re still bitter and reeling over it yourself. So I’m curious. )

Something was off, the Darkness upon her heart was not as heavy anymore. It started to make sense upon hearing that the heroes had been summoned, “Is that so?” The Shield hero was getting a bad reputation, the dragon slipped away from the people talking. “That can’t be true...” She mumble to herself before making her way toward where the rumored location of the hero.
