Len is sitting on the floor of the main room of the Waverider with both hands firmly folded over his mouth when Amaya walks in, eyes wide. On one side of the room, Sara appears to be in the midst of hysterics. On the other, Jax looks like he’s having a stroke.
“Is everything alright?” Amaya asks, because while she’s gotten used to the oddness of what occurs on the Waverider regularly, she’s still not sure when something is normal and when it’s a cause for concern.
“No.” Len says, although it’s muffled by his hands.
“Snart just told me he thinks of me as a little brother.” says Jax, now looking alarmed.
“I think there may have been some kind of truth serum involved?” Sara offers.
“There was.” says Len. “I don’t know where it came from but I can’t stop myself from saying things when they’re true. I hate it. I’m worried people will use what I say against me.”
“You know you can trust the team, right, Len?” Amaya says, coming to sit next to him on the floor.
“I trust you,” says Len, “because I love you. You and Mick, both.”
Amaya knows her face is heating up, because she can feel it.
“The rest of the assholes, not so much.” Len continues, but the look on his face says he can’t believe he’s saying it. “Oh - no, wait, Jax. I trust Jax too.”
Someone laughs in the doorway, and Amaya and Len turn to see Mick, leaning against the frame.
“Come on, boss,” he says. “Let’s get you somewhere private while we wait for this to wear off.”
“See, this is why I love you.” says Len, as he gets to his feet and helps Amaya up. “You understand me. And that thing you can do with your tongue where you -”
Amaya presses her hand over Len’s mouth this time, and the three of them make a break for their room, laughing.
