Vazali's parents meet

Above, Crown Prince Xeres meets Council Member Vizada in the halls of the capitol. She thinks he's way too laid back for a future emperor and not taking his duties seriously. He actually is quite devoted to the Empire, but he tries to stay calm as much as possible to avoid having an asthma attack in public. Too bad the new representative from Valoh is so pretty that his pulse speeds up in her presence...

Vazali confronts her mother about [spoiler redacted]

Grief over the sudden death of her husband sent Queen Vizada spiralizing into a mental breakdown. She was lost in her own world, spending hours just staring into space and only speaking in brief non sequiturs.

This broke her daughters' hearts, and it became even worse when Vazali desperately needed to know information that was locked inside Vizada's shattered mind.

Note the warvcallie chicks in the painting on the wall behind Vizada. Aww, floofy birbs.

This portrait was done after Kazaneta went off to school, leaving Xeebec, age 16, as the only one of the emperor's children still living at home.

The other pictures I've given a paint program facelift to lately were much, much older than this one, which was originally done in 2021. I really liked this picture, but the coloring was uneven and washed out (having been done with poor quality colored pencils) and there were some parts of Vizada's face that just didn't look right. I like it better now.

Why is Vizada bursting through these doors, who is she mad at, and what did they do to earn her ire? Those are humongous spoilers. But you can tell she's not happy.
