Watching Season 3 of Fargo, and I can't stop seeing E.R. Musk in V.M. Varga.

The insatiability/greed that keeps Varga "eating" even after getting so full he needs to regurgitate his meal. Same as the idiot billionaire not satisfied with being the richest man in the world, so rich that he can't ever hope to "digest" it all. (Although I WISH Musk's greed would manifest in some physically grotesque features, too, like Varga's teeth. Any aposematism, in fact, that would advertise his deeply harmful intentions to the world.)

The "humble man" persona Varga creates with his $200 suit and second-hand tie, he's convinced himself, will shield him from the whole of the proletariat who are out for his blood. Likewise, Musk wears one of his children around his head and torso to create a shielding "dedicated father" persona against the disgruntled masses - or, more likely, to use as a literal meat shield against a determined assassin.

The entourage of clearly blood-thirsty incels (of dubious origins) who hope to find validation and prove themselves by carrying out their boss' dirty work - be it fraud, assault, murder. . . Whatever attrocities he allows them to wallow in. I guess when it comes to Musk, the goons get their kicks from fucking over people who depend on government aid. Which, man, is even more pathetic, if still evil.

And, finally, their ability to make powerful men into their little puppets whether said men agree to the arrangement or not. Which needs no flaired link to reality - we are living through a serious case of "life imitating art" when it comes to this particular point.

In conclusion, UGH. Just UGH. Varga and his crew give me the massive ick. And so does Musk.

Let me introduce myself I guess. And what you can find here.

Hi I am ghost bones, I've had a dumb auto immune disease my whole life. I am married, have three cats, and "retired" when I was about 30. Just turned 40 and realized I need to start writing again. Since I quit working in the IT world, my passions have become cold war intelligence history [in the US], and how that affects the us today, post soviet russia [read as: Putin and his insane worldviews]. I love dissecting mis and dis info.

My dream, I suppose would be to go on a podcast to talk about any of those things. I came to tumblr to look at stranger things theories and now I am staying as I love the long form of this site.

I'm hoping to one day make long form videos when my health is a little better.

I think a lot about VM Varga being a criminal mastermind who is obsessed with control and also has bulimia as a middle-aged man...It's such a rare case of someone using this disorder in an interesting way rather than just pawning it off lazily into the plot of a high schooler, or to lazily critique beauty standards without any understanding of where it comes from.
