kyrie is the best mother in umineko just on a basis that she actually took care of her child - without ange reading her diary, she wouldn't have known how much her mom suffered or what she thought about it. 'she didn't love her children and was actually spiteful towards them' - i literally don't care about the moralistic aspect of how much she 'loved' them or not: ange was being taken care of. even battler was in a way taken care of - he didn't even know kyrie had such deep repressed feelings. you people are so weird about stuff like this. you get rosa, who loves maria so much, and that yet still doesn't protect maria from her abuse, but ange having a fullfiling happy life with her parents, even if the mother doesn't 'love' her (what does that even mean to you people?) is somehow bad. kyrie has her own demons to fight, sure, she might use ange as a bond to rudolf... and in the end, the actual traumatising aspect of all of this was her parents taken from her too soon + living with her aunt who loved her so much she was constantly abused. okay.

Whumpy Visual Novel?

Okay so, because of miss rona, I now have infinite time on my hands, and I taught myself some coding. And like all things in my life, I'm gonna make it whumpy. :)

So, my idea is basically a dating-sim visual novel, only instead of dating, you are a whumper that tortures your whumpee of choice.

Idk just a concept its nearly 3 in the morning and this quarantine is driving me insane.

reading minakami's route is genuinely so insane because, while i do have kawase rose-tinted glasses on, i'm on a fifth loop and we still don't know that much of minakami. what drives him forward. his devotion towards tamamori. i know you have to keep your suspense about him, but by already having read this vn, i know it's nothing much. we just have to nod our heads that they are soulmates while they have nothing in common with each other. minakami has to boost tamamori's ego to be counted as one of his important friends! if you are his soulmate, why would you need to do that? while kawase and tamamori are literally obsessed with each other, every step they take is about their shared guilt and trauma, the condependency even the so-written 'true' route can't overwrite. we see so much of kawase, all his sides, ON MINAKAMI'S ROUTE, we interact with him FACE TO FACE and we are still left wondering, while minakami ON HIS OWN ROUTE is based on by never properly interacting with the man himself.
