michiko and hatchin is amazing but it will ALWAYS rub me the wrong way with how the English dub just had white people putting on blaccents to voice these black/mixed characters

Finding out Michiko from Michiko to Hatchin is voiced by a white woman in the dub, and then checking out that dub and hearing her attempt at a black-cent, is a bad feeling

The vocal black face list you re-blogged I don't get it. Other than Iggy Azalea and Justin Bieber, how are the other artists appropriating black culture (i.e. Adele)???

I don't agree with a lot of people on that list like Adele & Amy Winehouse but the vocal blackface is about white people who's entire career is based on sounding and acting like black people without giving any credit or any of their own originality. Iggy is a prime example, Justin Bieber 's is pretty damn close to it, Macklemore most certainly is, JT has the sound but he actually gives credit and put some of his own originality  in it, mariah Carey is black so i don't even know why she was on the list. I get the point, but yeah the list wasn't very good.

I listen to some British rap artists and literally ALL of them have a British accent when they rap. The only rap artist I've heard putting on an American accent is Iggy Azalea.
